Whatever happened to Vauxhall, used to make really good cars in the 90’s and early 00’s but since about 2010 just absolute disposable crap.

GM were going broke so anything from 2005 - 2019 was rubbish. Now sold to to PSA / Peugeot Citroen

I have similar engine like urs. Its a 2014 Chevy Cruze Lt with 1.4 liter turbo engine. My question is can I pour this in radiator as a preventative maintenance even if head gasket is working fine? Heads or head gasket is common failure on type of car i drive. Thanks for video any appreciated

How is it supposed to seal without pressure? How is it supposed to clog and seal the leaking spot if nothing is pushing it in there? You don't understand how it works. It does most of it's sealing when the engine is off because then there's no pressure from cylinder, only pressure in cooling system. When it's so bad like in your case you must remove the plug of the most leaking cylinder and warm it up like that.

How do you determine which cylinder has the most compromised gasket?

@@jamesthomas4693 Many ways. Look at the spark plugs, look at the pistons. Could force air into cylinder with air compressor, and see if it makes the coolant level rise in the expansion tank. Could run the engine with one spark plug out at a time holding paper over open spark plug hole, this might make the paper wet. Also could fill the cooling system to the brim with cap off, put one spark plug in at a time and turn the engine over, see how badly it bubbles or even shoots liquids out the coolant fill hole. Or remove one spark plug at a time and run the engine looking for bubbling/splashing out of the fill hole.

I have used on 1.6 unleaded (benzin) 2 bottles of it and it didn’t do a good job . Just giving a little time nothing else

So does the coolant tank need to be full of water then add this to it? Or make sure the coolant tank is bone dry before adding it

Empty.. as it needs to go into the system.

Must have done something wrong, was the cooling system pressurized before the procedure? Was the leak severe, if so did you remove the plug from the worst cylinder to eliminate cylinder pressure? Thermostat removed? Heater core valve fully opened? Cooling system flushed several times before the procedure? Added correct amount of sealer taking cooling system capacity into account? Mixed the sealer with water before pouring it into the cooling system? Procedure done in several cycles raising the temperature some more every time or did you do it in one go?

Because common sense says not to, as if you have a pressuring system, it basically can’t if it’s not sealed. 👍

Cylinder pressures are greater then coolant.

@@Roverturbo When you shut off the engine then the coolant has more pressure than the cylinder. There are also some comments saying that you are supposed to take out the spark plug and unplug the injector and run the car and then shut it off.

@@Roverturbo not really. You state you can’t use antifreeze but yes you can use the red antifreeze which is 50/50.

No does not work , just blocks up radiator cores , the engine will over heat due to poor water circulation because of the stop leak fluid partially blocking water ways

Well that’s not how “steel seal” works tho is it.. it reacts with the heat from the combustion process and hardens. Hence head gasket repair.. not a water seal.
