Ivano Basile is a physicist and research fellow specializing in string theory and its connections to cosmology. He works on topics such as broken supersymmetry, brane dynamics, and the swampland conjectures, which explore the constraints on low-energy effective field theories that can be consistently embedded into quantum gravity frameworks like string theory. Basile has held positions at prestigious institutions, including the Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich and the University of Mons​.
