Does Surface Change The Carry On String Pins?

Watched for Elise's next shot after seeing her untied shoe to see if she tied it or if we had a string Elise free fall 🤣. That's when she noticed it was untied. As far as string pins go, just like freefall pins, sometimes you get good luck, sometimes you get bad luck. The playing field is the same for everyone.

Why do they change the length of the strings depending on if you are in open play or league?

Less tangles on shorter strings. Shorter strings are also unsanctioned because they cause the string hits more often. Only the longer setting is sanctioned. Longer setting just leads to more tangles. So for open play, it’s less disruption for unsanctioned casual play.

In my country bowling is not a popular sport and because of that a lot of centers are switching to those garbage stringpins, it's even more sad coz i started working behind the lanes and i was enjoying it so much... then they brought in them string pinsetters and bye bye 😭

@@Ty_The_Onehanded I Bowled my first tournament on strings (uncertified) and we had a few "string" hits. Everybody just shrugged and bowled on. I watched a few hours of PBA regionals on strings and there was very little difference. The better bowlers still scored the best.
