I started on a trail looking into if Osiris had any similarities to Jesus, turns out not really a lot, the story of Jesus is fairly unique. However looking at Egyptian Mythology as a whole it does share a lot with Biblical themes and people.
In this video try to debunk what not correct about the links between ancient texts and the Bible and also outline what is.

The ankh has a cross shape but with a teardrop-shaped loop in place of an upper bar. So, just cause you saw a cross doesn't mean its Christian. Also Christians are still considered Jews at this time and the entire Roman empire hates Jews. Egypt is part of the Empire.

Couple of things, first of all Christianity was practiced in accordance with the teachings of Christ as related in the Gospels and the letters of Paul, for the first three centuries. It wasn't until the 4th century - thanks to Constantine's adoption of Christianity - that Christianity largely abandoned those tenets - though they did pay lip service to them. Secondly, Paris was named after the tribe that inhabited the Isle of Paris - the Parisii. Just a couple of points of interest. Keep up the good work. Your enthusiasm for history is SO refreshing!

There is a short story I read many years ago whose title escapes me now, unfortunately. It surfaced during a modern discussion on the ancient cave paintings in France. Those paintings proven to be a hundred thousand years old, or older. The premise of the story concerns modern tourists who visit the cavern to see the paintings and marvel at them. Everyone is stunned by the beauty of the paintings and what they mean. There is discussion on how they were done and various aspects of their meaning historically. The tourists spend a long time looking at all the different variations of artwork there. They leave at the end of the visit, suitably impressed and happy to have seen them. As the tourists leave one of the men in the group is still locked into staring at the paintings with great fascination. He doesn’t hear calls for them to leave and the other people depart. Before leaving, he looks at the paintings one more time; and remembers the day he painted them one hundred thousand years ago. Maybe not so far off as we think! Regards

However, talking about it is confusing since we dont know how olde anything is ( yet ). Which story predate or inspire another or vice versa - if each story is trying to remind us of the other. Growing up, I was hyper obsessed with all things Egyptology. My parents encouraged it by getting me any books I'd like on the topic. I remember one day while I was reading my mum telling me out of the blue that her father was a free mason. She then gave me a handmade leather wallet with weird symbols on it including the classic freemason one. She told me it was his and that she'd tell me the story behind it when I was older. She now has memory loss in her older age and I worry I'll never learn that family history. I've wondered about it for ages. Great video! I feel like every time my feedback is, "more like this please!" :)

@@FunnyOldeWorld Sadly I don't, it was 20 years ago and I was only 9 at the time. It was a Wallet that she gave me (i was just reading a rando book on Egypt). When she told me she'd tell me when I was older, she had hinted at seeing him do "freemason rituals", which freaked my poor little kid brain right out. Wallet deets: it was light brown, delicate stitching, rough green inside material, very soft, and falling apart. I recall the symbols on it were random crossed items like feathers and sticks or something + a few geometric pyramids/shapes that would be rightside-up or upside-down, like when you hold a playing card. I had weird feels when holding the wallet so I would hide it away in my wardrobe. I reckon my dumb kid arse eventually lost it at some point only a few years after. I have a small hope that my mum took it back if she thought I wasn't taking care of it proper. On the off chance my mum knows more, I'm going to pester her again and see if she remembers anything. If anything I may get a cool new story to share :)

Excellent video Jahanna! I went through the same process of realization 15 years ago. It was quite the eye opener for me as well. Since you're also in love with the Science of Spirituality I'll share some of my work here, the result of many years of studying Hermetic Alchemy. Here's my take the Dendera scene below the temple of Hathor, interpreted through the Hermetic lens. The Egyptians were deeply involved in Alchemy, a word derived from the Arabic "Al Khem" which roughly translates to "the black earth" or "the black art" in English; referring to the Nile Valley as the black fertile land whose life-blood is and was the Nile River. It was also called Al Khemia which in ancient Egyptian means "the transmutation of earth". This transmutation of earth was understood as the process of earth (and the elements it contains) becoming the plants that grow upon it and the plants becoming the animals that feed upon them, in a perpetual cycle of death and rebirth. They witnessed the miracle that from seemingly dead "dirt" springs all of the complex life and minerals we see before us and they were dedicated to understanding this divine process. They came to understand that gold was very special compared to other elements and that it could expand your consciousness, just like the blue lotus, which is what they were trying to convey with the depiction of the lotus and consciousness that surrounds the emerging serpent (etheric body or vital essence or maybe even representing the double-helix of DNA) in the curious reliefs carved on the walls of the temple. Look at the scenes depicted on both opposing walls and compare them. The Serpent is representing original Divinity, the Universal Soul or Cosmic Consciousness confined within the Microcosm and the Djed Pillar is symbolic of the primordial waters of our true Inner Self. For the side where there is only one figure below each Divine Microcosm; on the left side I see our waking Conscious Self facing West towards the setting Sun; feeling a sense of our Mystical Origin and our connection to all that's below; but also the sense of being weighed down, constricted and destined to one day pass from this material realm. On the right I see our Inner Self facing East towards the rising Sun, feeling a strong non-bodily connection to all that's above and especially that Fiery Essence which shines into our eyes; having the sense of eternity, rising up, expanding and shining bright. Still our Conscious Self can only come close to Source in this state, since our inner and outer have their backs to each other, meaning the Conscious Self is unaware of the Inner Self's existence at this time. In the scene on the opposing wall we can see that when our Conscious Self and our Inner Self connect and work together (facing each other), we can descend into the realm of Soul and rise up to the realm of Spirit, become the Philosophic Stone, reach out and touch the Soul of Universal Consciousness, gaining an understanding of the Above and Below, of Spirit, Nature and matter; finally allowing us to break free from the cycle of death and rebirth, reaching Nirvana. This is what many refer to as Christ Consciousness.

I think it makes sense to think that oral stories were carried over from the older civilizations whose records was destroyed. There’s also a lot of parallels between Greek mythology and Ancient Babylonian mythology. Also Gilgamesh, the Iliad, etc. Survivors disbursed and told their stories. Makes sense.

To add to that, people would adapt the story to locals and figures that the local people were familiar with. They might add a new figure to make more sense or to explain something that wasn’t part of their cultural heritage but yeah the stories are shared the world over. Some people say that the tribe of Dan were the Greek Danoi that settled in Israel and brought their story of Heracles and it became the story of Samson.

If your a fan of Tarot iconography, the early Tarot took its symbolism from cathedrals such as Notre Dame in Paris which borrowed much of its themes and gestures from Rome, Greece, Babylon and Egypt. That is why the Marseille Tarot Deck and Visconti Decks have included undisguised ancient pre-Christian clothing, objects and terminology that can be traced back to original sources if you know where to look.

You confirmed a lot of what I thought about Christianity that I was raised with and there's a lot there I hadn't realised that also makes a lot of sense now. Like PARIS, oh my God.. I've delved into the Traditionally Trained side of Hindu to understand some of what they're about and it makes so much sense that the individual is where you find God because you are a creation of God and the only thing limiting an individual from discovering this is their mind, ignorance. I was just thinking about the Library of Alexandria a couple of videos ago and just thinking "I bet that was destroyed by some element of Christians trying to push only Christianity." Christianity has been used as a method of control for so long. I'm not so good with my timeline, was it from Constantine on that Christianity was made into the controlling top down organisation that it is today? Because until Constantine we never even used to have Popes.

It's almost like she's so infatuated with historical mysteries that she automatically views through the lens without doing research. I say it's irresponsible because unfortunately, many people will watch this video and assume she's done her research and take what she's saying at face value. When it's misinformation that can be easily found. Misinformation muddies the water. It can begin to make you question the validity behind other topics they discuss, because you're wondering if they actually researched it and what they're saying is accurate.

Hi! Found you through Jimmy. This topic is one that I’ve spent MUCH time studying. I highly recommend that you check out the Sumerian cuneiform tablets! They contain a similar Noah story as well plus their own genesis. They are the oldest recorded word that we have and they do not claim the knowledge they had. They say that the Annunaki gave them their advanced knowledge. Pretty neat! I’ve read the translations if you ever want to chat.

HI Jahannah I have followed you some time through Brien Foerster's videos. I am from Finland and OLD. You are so expressive and your way of speak is so dramatic. You are an actor by the grace of God - though I am an atheist and I love to watch your posts! Thank you for those. But to the point. The trouble here is that most of the ancient official history is so wrong and rubbish that we have to do a lot of guessing and deduction from the proven facts. All the ancient megaliths and high quality precision proves that there is much more to it than those main line people even realizes. Because these finds are global and very similar from Eastern island though Peru ja Egypt all the way to India and China it is almost inevitable that the highly civilized people where alliance. The oldest human societies that were involved (on the old continent) were Sumerian ( and thus after them Babylonians and other living in Eufrat Tigris region ) So first ancient Egyptian and Israelis and later Greeks ja Romans copied the important stories. The old Latin America history is even still fuzzy as the Spanish conquistadors managed almost completely destroy their history.

Hi Jahannah love your research and your style is so fresh. I have thought about similarities in historical stories and feel like there is an importance in using Jesus as the starting place. Even though there are other stories of resurrection the reason for the resurrections (why did Jesus offer himself/ the Father offer His son) in all the other stories? We can't do it ourselves that's what human history proves over and over we have to rely on the reconciliation back to that place of empowerment you mentioned. If God did die the reason for that is pretty central in all of creation. IMHO. Love your show

I haven't seen all the videos by any means so I don't know what all you have thought about but that Temple of Hathor on Sinai makes sense because that's where Aaron would've gotten the Golden calf while Moses was doing his thing at the summit. Without this temple there is no way for Aaron to acquire a golden calf statue otherwise. Also if I remember correctly that temple is full of hieroglyphs pertaining to the creation of monatomic gold and the gifting of it to the Pharaoh. This monatomic gold served the same purpose, had the same properties and looked the same as the manna that the Israelites then ate throughout the Exodus.

@@keithau8159 It's well established in mainstream archeology that the ancient Egyptians knew Pi, they obviously didn't call it Pi back then as that term wasn't used to describe the ratio until the early 18th century, but the Rhind papyrus clearly shows that the ancient Egyptians were aware of the concept and they calculated it to 3.16 (at least in 1550BC they did). Pi isn't some amazingly esoteric concept, wherever you have mathematics you have the possibility of discovering the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, it's a basic calculation.

I'm sorry to correct her but no, the Christians didn't burn down the library of Alexandria. The library of Alexandria was burned to the ground by Julius Caesar when he attacked Alexandria (you know, the entire Julius and Cleopatra story) there was only one part (some kind of learning hall or something) that survived and it's THAT that the Christians burned later on. But really most of the Greek texts by then were either destroyed in the fire of Julius Cesar and those that survived were brought to other local libraries.

I think this is an interesting way of thinking about it. But if we are to discuss the parallels, or not, I would like to add/ clarify something here. The bible doesn’t show us that salvation and freedom is found by looking within but by putting our faith in Jesus and - which I guess in your words is “looking up”. “Inner work” is necessary and Jesus told us that the Holy Spirit would be with us to help and guide us in this process. However this is very different to “salvation” being found within ourselves, or some kind of salvation through works / knowledge. Most / all mystery religions have this, such as the Egyptians, Gnostics, Kabbalah etc (in fact all really have this in some form other than what the bible shows IMO). The Bible and Jesus talks about - while working on yourself is great and necessary - we really need to connect with God and be part of his family again. The Bible shows us that God is personal (not an impersonal force or set of values) and that God loves us dearly. However, he will never force us to come back to him and join his family again, that is our choice. Please don’t be discouraged at all! I have been loving your content! Hopefully someone will find this useful :)

They epitomise the ‘you’re your own ‘god’, temple, doing the right thing, being individual with your own path, loving nature and animals etc. They’ve survived and been followed. I admire the beliefs very much. Like Pagan nature worshipping ‘religions’, etc, the ‘Dreamtime’ . Besides many cultures I’m also Australian Aboriginal descent. These are the more interesting, intelligent paths too follow. Many ‘ religions’ do say exact or similar things and stories. Probably wise to take all the useful good bits and wham them together for whatever works for you! Zeitgeist might be off on the specific comparisons between horus and jesus but it does a good job of showing the astronomical significance of 25th december, the birth of the sun and significance of the solstice, as well as the great ages of the precessional cycle and how they line up with our figures in religion. Jesus/Pisces, moses/aries, golden calf/taurus etc. Both religions (and many others) are indeed sun cults. Can't really comment about the rest of that film :) The whole christmas/santa claus/christmas tree ornaments and 'flying reindeer' getting mixed up in christianity is one of my favorite stories, i got into it in one of the old livestreams. The other reason for the major shift in christianity was the rise of the printing press and translations of the bible. Long story, but for the longest time (after the fall of the romans) the church was the establishment, and authority, and you had to go to your priest etc to get the word of god. Once people could translate and print the bible in native languages that started to change, the church had to change with it - or just try and kill everyone that was doing it... A very good source on this is Dan Carlin's Hardcore history - chase down episode #48 'Prophets of Doom' which is about the anabaptist rebellion in Munster in the 1500's. Crazy, crazy story.

"What's an Egyptian temple doing up on Mt Sinai?" The Sinai Peninsula is part of Egypt. The range of the ancient Egyptian peoples went further than that, all the way to modern Palestine. Also temples being on top of a mountain is not at all unusual. There are just less of them due to the required effort to do it up a mountain. Mountains are often seen as sacred in many religions and cultures, so a temple to a god being on one is very natural.
