Does the BRADLEY Mower Compare to TORO Grandstand

I just bought a brand new 36-in Bradley and so far I'm loving it they did change the oil drain they put in a flexible tube and all you got to do is just bend it down open up the pet valve and drain the oil other than that there's no frills no thrills there's not even a water bottle holder but I don't want that I need something that's going to last and something's going to cut a good lawn

I’ve owned wrights for 19 years ( my home snd 2,3 rentals occasionally). I talked my good friend into 52’ Bradley. He bought another for his 2 kids. He had an old (really old) wright 4590 hours. He’s had pretty good luck, a spring or two on the deck snapped and maybe something else. I think wright isn’t he best, (we have an 2002 xmark lazer z that’s been a workhorse at our farm). Not hung wrong with toro and skag. All great companies. When my son bought an estate sized lot an home, he also bought a weight 52”. It was few months housand mire than the Bradley but over years (probably decades) he thought it was a better investment. He’s looking for a compact tractor now lol.

Just bought a Bradley 36 Stand on. I like it so far. Very well-made mower. Just doesn't do well on big slopes. It only has 3 hours on it so far so im still learning what it can and cant do. Good video!

Ive had toro, exmark, scag and more. Bought a 52 Bradley earlier this yr, its been a good mower.. all your points are very true though. Its bouncy, and vibrates like crazy. And its very loud

Been kicking the bradley idea around for a few years. More so for a city lot route. I lovey my Bradley! I'm buying another 52 and a 32 stand on when they come out next year. I run Gator high lifts year round. Definitely keep the deck clean! Nice video!!

Here's my take- 1. the TORO is not 15k. Maybe MSRP but if you paid 15k you need a new dealer 2. I have the opposite issue with oil burn- my Wright ZK with the Vanguard 37hp burns oil about as much as you complained about VS. my Grandstands/Multiforces with the Kohlers don't seem to burn much at all but some more than others. 3. Toro is first class all the way and if you mow for a living this is what you need to mow with, Bradley is like going to Harbor Freight to do a professional job, sure it works but it'll cost you later.... 4. The Bradly will cost you later because there is little support on these and dealer network (I know I hate dealer networks myself) but they don't have the same parts availability etc. Think about then you need a warranty work done, or a new spindle, belts, or a hydro pump goes out... Toro will have that covered much better. Unless you buy a Bradley and stock up on a ton of parts. I have 7 Grandstands, 2 GS Multiforces, and 1 ZK Wright. 2 of my GS mowers are pushing 3,000 hours and the others have at least 1000 hours on them. We mow cemeteries so we beat the piss out of them. I am repairing one of the transmissions on a 3200 hour machine but other than that these TOROs are the best you can get. (Keep in mind I'm also TORO Full Fleet customer)

I don’t know of any Bradley dealers in my area nor have I ever seen another running one. But toro is everywhere. Personally I really like the grandstand.

Bradley has very few dealers, however dealer support isn’t as valuable as you think it is especially when it takes 4 weeks to get your machine back up and running. Bradley has really good customer service and will get parts shipped within 8 hrs. Any vanguard dealer could work on a Bradley for engine problems and they are made so simply that basically anyone can do any other work on them. I love toro but my dealer doesn’t offer loner mowers or even rental mowers. They are focused heavily on consumer customers. This is why I went with the Bradley mower. I am considering buying a 36 as well.

We've owned both -we had a 48 bradley. There is a clear difference in pretty much everything - especially maintenance its just way easier on the Toro. But if tis is your first mower I would tell guys to buy it. We put 500 hours on ours and only had small stuff break. Im wondering why you have a multi force but no hydros installed? We use ours year round w the low flow hydros and its a HUGE game changer!

The Multiforce is a first generation. When I bought it they only had the plow available and I don’t have any commercial snow accounts. I operate solo so it is way easier to use a snow blower.

@@LansingLawnServiceLLC Gotcha...I have a 4 foot and 5 foot blade and the mulch force bucket. So fat we have 900 hours and only thing that came up was hydro lines were leaking by pumps. Two $5 clamps is all it took. Engine sputters a bit at times but that's a kohler problem. They are expensive but they are great machines. Thanks and good luck this year!

I have a 36in Bradley and it is a beast work horse. I would love to have the best cutting mower out there...SCAG but cannot justify spending that much money on a mower when the 36 bradley does a great job and dependable.

I find rotella T6 full synthetic 15w40 doesnt burn any oil in old kawi motors we run. SAE30 and synthetic 10w30 burn a bit, all different brands til a buddy suggested t6

To be fair, the Multi-force is pricier than the base Grandstand, but yup regardless the Bradley is a good deal to be had for sure! I got me the Bradley 48" with the Vanguard, love this thing! And yes, I will say it does really well with mulching leaves thx to that partially baffled deck. That turbo baffle you mentioned serves a purpose. I also took mine off initially, but soon learned that thing is there to help keep discharged clippings from being sucked back into the deck as the right blade makes full circle and pulls in air. With mulching blades on, them discharged clippings getting sucked back in for another go-around which soon creates a hot mess up in there, clogging up the deck with finely-chopped clippings. So I'd recommend leaving that baffle on until fall, when having it off helps with mulching leaves. Also, I disconnected the brake safety so I could step off the mower w/o having to put the brake on...really hated that feature. Man, ditto on the vibration though, and yup you gotta watch for loosened screws coz of that. Also, found a few screws stripped.

awesome comparison between lawnmowers. Are you also interested in comparing different string trimmers lines? The twist, double layer trimmer lines and they are just too many, and for a beginner that makes it not easy to find the best one for the right purpose. I can supply you with one brand trimmer line if you would like to do that.

Thank you for the review. We thought of buying one a couple of years ago, but because of a lack of a dealer we didn't. Now that our current dealer will be selling them, we may buy 2-52 inch mowers or 1 Scag 52 stand-on. What's the main difference between the vanguard 26 HP and the one that's cheaper 27HP Briggs & Stratton Commercial Turf Engine with Cyclonic Air Filter, thank you?

Precisely, I own a 48" Bradley with 25hp Briggs and been working it on all sorts of yards for almost a year. She's a brick house!! Taken it through 4' grass, munches it right up! Only issue so far has been the front tire got a pinhole. They sell flat free tires or you can fill them with some sealant or put tubes in them... Other than that, It does mulch real well, have the grass catcher from them as well the gc2400 I believe it is with the big handle. A bit heavy, but everything built so well!!! Even the deck was perfectly calibrated from the factory!! Assembled here in the states, just cheaper cuz they don't blow a bunch of money with glitzy marketing hype. Don't knock em till u tryed it, one of the best kept secrets till now lol!!

No, I’m fact there aren’t many Bradley dealers anywhere. However, they are made simple so that they are easy to work on. They have great customer service. In fact, I have a leak in my drain hose on the engine and they sent 4 guys from Illinois (I live in Michigan) and they had it fixed within 2 days of me calling Bradley. My local toro dealer wouldn’t even have looked at it for at least 14 days and they would have kept the machine all that time. Bradley sent guys to my house to fix the machine in my driveway within two days. Now, they don’t do that very often, but for this particular fix they did it. I was very impressed.

@@lawnfreak3543 yeah, I have used Harrington’s in the past. I bought a gravely pro stance there that I absolutely hated. It never cut good no matter what I did to it. If you were to buy a Bradley they could work on the engine because they are a BRIGGS authorized dealer.

Bradley is made of same parts has quality steel. I've used all of the big brand mowers Skag , hustler , Toro aka Xmark , and Wright which is known for being the best stand on out there. I would put my bradley up against all of them. I use Bradley and Toro with Stihl. Bradley 60in $6999 or 15k for any other big brand...I've used bradley for many years I'll go bradley every time..Same quality as ever big brand mower and half the price while not jeopardizing quality. Bradley has been making mowers for over 25 years , as someone who has used these mowers I named over the span of almost 15 years Bradley is the Best... you spend 15k for 1 mower I'll buy two 61 inch Bradley's for that price.

Idk man. Working for a multi million dollar company that has multiple toro grandstands, scag v ride 2s, and a branch in another city that's running the new cub cadet stand ons. I would not call the Toro the Cadillac of stand ons at all. It's a light, nimble, agile, do everything lawn mower. The scag feels a lot more planted and smooth. The hydros are also a lot more sensitive than the toros. Coming to a stop for instance can take some getting used to it can happen very abruptly which does not happen on the Toro. Personally I like the Toro better than the scag unless I'm on a hill.. I like the cub cadet better than both since the frame and tire setup is very similar to the scag. Yet the hydros aren't as sensitive. The chute isn't as wide so clippings do go as far but the smaller gas tank on the cub is the Achilles heel. I've cut on a toro and scag for 4 hours Str8 and still had gas left. I've attempted the same thing on a cub but didn't even get half that... Close to two hours of cutting before needing a refill. I've been interested in the Bradleys but that 4 gallon tank for anyone one big properties sounds like a hassle. The price does ring home for me when I'm starting to move independently and start my own thing.
