You are leaving money on the table by not compacting those recycled asphalt drives. I bought a harbor freight plate compactor. It has paid for itself many times on these types of drives. I normally quote the price for re-finish/repair and then say double it if you want it compacted. Nothing quite like making Ventrac money on Harbor Freight equipment. It really makes a huge difference on finish.

I've watched your videos many times. I own a ventrac with the power rake and they are so much fun on gravel. Have you played with the "cant" on the drum to angle it up/down for building crowns? I would think you would have to lock it out so the front swivel doesn't "float" like the old model. I'm going to practice this once we get some rain and I don't have to take a dust bath. I put a piece of tape on the depth gauge to mark my true zero for final grade and it makes it look so much better. Thank you for making these videos.

I’ve owned wrights for 19 years ( my home snd 2,3 rentals occasionally). I talked my good friend into 52’ Bradley. He bought another for his 2 kids. He had an old (really old) wright 4590 hours. He’s had pretty good luck, a spring or two on the deck snapped and maybe something else. I think wright isn’t he best, (we have an 2002 xmark lazer z that’s been a workhorse at our farm). Not hung wrong with toro and skag. All great companies. When my son bought an estate sized lot an home, he also bought a weight 52”. It was few months housand mire than the Bradley but over years (probably decades) he thought it was a better investment. He’s looking for a compact tractor now lol.
