This is my Go-To RC truck for prototyping ideas and designs. Very cheap and Very functional. They're a bit more expensive today than when Redcat first introduced the truck.

Everything has crept up in price over the last few years, I've noticed that too. Tell you what, the Gen 8 V2 is one tough rig. It isn't the most capable I have in its class here but boy is it durable!

@@RCTNT Venture is an amazing crawler, go for it! Ofc it's "old" but Hemistorm "praised" it in his earlier video too. It's underrated without any true reason. Maybe peeps passed the Venture because HPI released it too late. Can't wait for the build/review video!

I tested it in my 6 problems after I built it and it was underwhelming. It finished problem 1. Just. I'll have a play and come back to you via a video. I should do something with it, you're right :)

That was just on my difficult course, mind you. There's potential for a great C1 chassis under there. I'll give it a fair go when I do its video. I've currently got it in pieces after 3d printing my own leaf spring design for it. Will review in stock form.

I'm thinking of purchasing this Scout. So here is my knucklehead noob question ..... I am in love with the brushless FOC fusion motor in my Ascent Fusion. If I were to upgrade this to a Fusion SE, would I have to replace my radio system ???? Thank you for all the work you put into your vids. I really appreciate what you do and I learn a lot. Sorry for the rookie questions. EDIT: and if I have to replace my radio, what would you suggest ???? Thank you !!!!

Keep the stock radio for this one, it's fine. I'd suggest the 1800kv model if you're keeping stock gearing too. It'll bring the thing to life 👍
