Absolutely love my Gen8. I got a TRX4 as my backup rig. Now granted the Gen has brass all around and the TRX4 is stock,the driving platform on the Cat is just so much more enjoyable. The only weak link so far has been the center drive shaft and after a couple failed trail runs it got replaced to a aluminum one and no worries.

I agree about the looks, it's a fantastic shell. Glad you've changed the tyres too - definitely looks better with the taller rubber. It's a downer you can't really get hold of these here! They'd be very tempting if they were... 👍

Yeah I much prefer it with the new wheels and tyres. It's got a new motor and steering servo too, so better all round. Yeah it is a shame they're not so easy to get in the UK. It definitely seems a better built chassis than an equivalent UK cheaper crawler. 👍

I love my Redcat, awesome flex and really tough too. Had my first breakage the other week rock crawling. TRX4 is still better, but I'd choose the Redcat over a TRX4 Sport 👍

Mine was a Father’s Day gift. I’ve done a few mods since. I need to set the front axle forward as I have installed an injora winch. Had to pull the bumper out. Is that the injora roof rack? I want to do that next. Also swapped the 17 t to a 15 t pinion. It gives it a little slower crawl and tightened up the drag brake. CHEERS!

Sounds like an awesome Fathers Day gift, I love my Scout. Winch would be nice. 👍 Yeah Injora roof rack from Aliexpress, it's just the right size I think and is good quality. I can't remember what pinion is on mine, but I'm running a Surpass Hobby 5 slot 10T motor, which gives very nice slow speed control. 👍 Hope you enjoy yours and thanks for watching and commenting. 👍😎

It's a great rig, very capable and tough too. I got the roof rack off Aliexpress I think, was quite a while ago now. You can pick them up for not much, just measure the roof and check what size you need. 👍

They're great aren't they. The wheels are just deep dish 1.9 beadlocks from Aliexpress and the tyres are Pitbull rock crawler copies from Aliexpress also. Any other questions let me know. 👍

Collin Morris I don't think there was any rubbing, minimal if so, it's a while since I've ran it. I'd already upgraded the steering servo to a much more powerful Savox one. It's been fine with them on, looks the part too. 👍😎

Hi do you no if the traxxas trx4 body will fit on a redcat gen 8

I'm not sure sorry, you can adjust the wheelbase on the Gen8 to 324mm like the TRX4, so possibly. You'd just need to figure out mounting it, like magnets, as the Gen8 uses the velcro vs the traditional pins of the TRX4. Hope that helps. 👍
