I have seen subwoofers that cost around that same price that are more effective. On the bright side: It's lot cheaper than the McIntosh subwoofer - which costs about the same as a luxury vehicle.

B&W ASW600 for me. No Class D crap amp in it and built in the UK. Fantastic hifi sub.

I would for sure go with 2 Starke SW15 ($699/each) 👍 I got lucky 5 weeks ago and they had the sw15 for $499/each swooped up 2 💪🏻

HSU and Rythmik seem like better values, and are companies that are largely based in the US. Only used M&K for me. Even then, it would be a slow seller and hard to get rid of.

Mike, you do know that the M&K from back in the day went bankrupt, this is a different company using the name. My recent sub purchase was a Rythmic F12-400 for $889. Maybe you check it out and offer a thoughtful review.
