The Tetragrammaton is the four-letter Hebrew word יהוה‎ (transliterated as YHWH), the name of the national god of Israel. The four letters, read from right to left, are yodh, he, waw, and he. While there is no consensus about the structure and etymology of the name, the form Yahweh is now accepted almost universally.
The books of the Torah and the rest of the Hebrew Bible except Esther, Ecclesiastes, and (with a possible instance in verse 8:6) the Song of Songs contain this Hebrew name. Observant Jews and those who follow Talmudic Jewish traditions do not pronounce יהוה‎ nor do they read aloud proposed transcription forms such as Yahweh or Yehovah; instead they replace it with a different term, whether in addressing or referring to the God of Israel. Common substitutions in Hebrew are Adonai ("My Lord") or Elohim (literally "gods" but treated as singular when meaning "God") in prayer, or HaShem ("The Name") in everyday speech.

My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. In order to fulfill this "calling" in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, "glide" over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water, and "see" the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many-faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be implanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

I'm sorry I don't quite recognize the letters on the wall, but that's because I don't read Hebrew. The name of God “YHWH” is pronounce “YA HO WAH” this was given to Moises in Mt. Sinai so His people will know who he is. But the Hebrew kept it to themselves until the last one died during their journey to the promise land. The new generation were unaware of it. The Hebrew pronounced almost 700 time and still can’t pronounce. They also need to watch “The God Culture”.

Hi Zahi , i could not see YHWH on the wall at first and looked at other videos and realised that its the plants forming the letters. I came across scripture appropriate to this its Deuteronomy chapter 28 verse 10, And all the earth shall see that you are called by the name (and the presence of ) the Lord and they shall be afraid of you. Nice video, thank you Zahi. I saw the letters name of God growing - being revealed video on another youtube channel when the letters more prominent. It's so fascinating. I didn't know one side of the Eastern Gate is called one thing and the other side of the gate another. Question Zahi: What is the writing on the muslim graves? It looks like grafitti or maybe the name of the deceased or something re their Islam faith. I notice they love to use spray paint on things doors entrances etc throughout the city. I'm a Christian so I personally don't like to see all the writings near the Golden Gate entrance and the fact they built a cemetery to block Messiah which won't work anyways so futile for peoples or nations to go against the Holy Trinity Jehovah Father God, Yeshua -Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit. I really appreciate how you present the different viewpoints respectfully! To many people have a bias one way or another. Those three letters apparently started showing up in late August, so it's not that "a 4th letter was there and went away" ... I'd like to think the first and third letters showed up without anyone noticing... until that Hey came and made it recognizable. The whole thing could just be a coincidence (or just a reminder)... but if you're around the area, please definitely give us an update if at some point it starts to go away... Or, best case scenario, if a final Hey started to form. If that happened, that sure could be interesting. I've heard a rumor that the Mercy gate we see isn't the original, but put higher up the wall. Is there a -respectful- (and safe) path to get an up-close view of the mercy Gate from right next to the wall? Or is that completely inaccessable?

You should stay or retain its exact TRANSLITERATION the way it was stated in Hebrew Alphabet as Yod He Vav He whOse 4 INITIAL ALL CONSONANT are single Y, single H, single V, single H. In Greek, theyre called TETRAgrammaton meaning 4 letters. But if you utilize, the English or Roman DOUBLE UU/W, it can be considered as PENTAgram meaning 5 letters; 3 are Hebrew CONSONANT [YHH) and 2 are English VOWELS called UU or W. Gates are constructed so that children of God and with them those new believers can enter from any point why they closed those? What will happen to those who block the people of God?
