It's a huge shame they didnt play with the idea of outside regions more in this game. Sure Sidons wife mentioned it but then they had this HUGE missed opportunity to make the pirates from the Lurien village quest line be not only from another region, but also be their own characters. Given how much of a build up this quest had, I was so excited to see these so called pirates and their personalities like the ones from Wind Waker only to be immediately disappointed that it was just a bunch of copy paste Bokoblins wearing pirate hats.

Honestly, I desperately hope it’s a possibility. I flew up as high as I could in Hyrule to get pictures of just how much is unexplored, and it’s incredibly vast. There’s a beach if you keep going through Geredo, a penesula going away from Akaala, and I thought I saw a huge lake somewhere northwest of Tabatha. Then again, render distance may have loaded/unloaded stuff and gave the illusion of a lake, but still, I want it to happen. Also, we could finally explore the chasm that goes around western and northern Hyrule!

For people who aren't really aware of Zelda world history, yes there are other kingdoms besides Hyrule. Like Labrynna and Holodrum (WHICH ARE NOT PARALEL UNIVERSES AND I WILL NOT BE CONVINCED OTHERWISE). There's also the world from Zelda II on the nes, which even has different continents. Hyrule being only like 20% of the world in Zelda II Also ive seen a lot of people point out that Yona is from another zoras domain, and the only other non-paralel-universe zoras domain (that we know of) is located in Labrynna so she could be from there

Technically the outside boarders of Hyrule is still sort of Hyrule, they just probably haven't discovered it yet. For all we know their could be other regional variants of every sentient species that are currently living in Hyrule but look very different and have different names from what we know.

If you fly up to the world height (or higher as some people have done) you can actually see the entire continent Hyrule is on. Or, more of a large island rather than a continent. It's interesting to see it does in fact end once you go far enough out, even though you can never get there

While players are not meant to make it to such a height through normal means during gameplay it's possible that Nintendo might have designed this Hyrule based on the Hyrule from Four Swords Adventures which also lies on an island surrounded by sea. Hopefully a DLC/sequel will explore the surroundings beyond the borders of the kingdom to reveal what lies there.

Now that I think about it, the idea of a location outside of Hyrule is so alien to me, especially considering the games rarely ever take place in a location other than Hyrule. We never even see other Kingdoms. I mean, we went to other lands for the Oracle games, but we've never seen other kings, queens, or even castles. For all we know, they were also a part of Hyrule's domain...The only real exception I can think of is in Triforce Heroes, of all things... I think it may be past time we saw more of the world that Hyrule inhabits, ngl.

So i have 2 uninformed theories about the Yiga spawning. If it was intentionial (which I doubt) they probably put that there when the player base somehow glitch there. If it was unintentional (far more likely) enemies still spawn even that far out but for whatever reason, Yiga is added to the spawn list.

Yeah, with hydro clipping you could do it in any version. Right below you is a death trigger by falling from the previous area where you fight the horde but going horizontally you can avoid it. If you keep going, however, you’ll get a message saying (if I remember correctly) “You cannot leave this area” and be teleported back

Its best to look away from hyrule, so it wont try to load anything. Once you pass about 50-100 feet beyond the invisible wall according to the mini map coordinates you can let go and not risk it even more.

In botw there also was solid ground outside hyrule And I think even ruined houses and trees and stuff Very basic though And other regions being hinted at, like yona being from another Kingdom and our blue bard bird whose name I totaly did not forget being possibly traveling in another land as well, maybe in some future game we will explore another region on that World map Or maybe even parts of it with dlc, but kinda unlikely I think tbh One of the future games has to be the start of this timeline though Like skyward sword was the first game, where it all started, from the previous timelines But botw and totk being on a new time line, and with the legendary ancient hero, I think a game with that hero as mc would be nice Even though I've heard that apparently that hero didn't really had a big adventure going on
