I played H&G because of Kotton and, despite recognizing it wasn't a great game, I enjoyed my time with it and spent 0 dollars for it. A lot of hidden gems get ignored by people who call it pay to win while the game is actually fun even if you don't pay for anything.

If you were creating this game with the design to keep players on the edge of being broke so they are heavily incentivized to buy in-game currency, and then a bunch of videos with alot of clicks were posted, calling it out, it would be a smart move to buff the loot to get people in the game, get them hooked, attached and invested and then gradually reduce the loot back down over time again. That would be kind of a smart move. I'm not saying that's what they're doing or are going to do, but if you monetize you're entire game with that method you are kind of inclined to boost it's effectiveness, that's just logical.

My first raid after the tutorial I filled my rig so fast with stuff I can't really complain about P2W. I was surprised how much loot there was. If you play right, gear doesn't win you raids. I'm not great at extractions shooters, I don't have time to spend weeks grinding, and I'm still doing just fine.

All this drama wouldn't be happening if the game would come to console. Arena Breakout and Delta force's Alpha has been neglecting console players when they have nothing like this. They would appreciate a game that's actually good for once and not waiting for black ops 6 and another stalker 2 delay. PC got Tarkov, Gray Zone Warfare, ready or not, Unrecord. They're spoiled with tactical shooters so they can freely judge because they have options. Console needs Delta force & arena breakout to literally save a drought of fun, mature games. We didn't even get Six days in Fallujah, The Day Before or The Last of us 2 Online.

Great content and valid points, i just don't like that you have to pay for a secure container on a rental basis, they should have given us an option to acquire it through a task. Also inventory space forces you to pay for that too. I might be wrong but so far this is what I'm experiencing. I feel so far Delta force Spec ops Extraction is giving me a better experience, i just hope it doesn't go crazy on the the monetization aswell.

Them selling the money is P2W but the money isn't really that much of an advantage over someone who doesn't pay because of how easy it is to make money in-game. The real P2W problem is having to pay $5+/m for a secure container which is a significant advantage over someone who doesn't pay. If you don't pay you're consistently risking 100K+ because you can't keep good ammo in your secure or good meds, like high capacity painkillers and such which can make or break a fight. They need to give everyone the 1x2 secure for free permanently and they can still sell everything else. Plus it would bring in more players. The killcam should only be viewable after every member of the squad is out of the raid. It's not super abusable but it's more than it needs to be. Nobody seeds to be able to view it until after the raids.

The point is, as soon as ANY P2W thing is in a game. It is only downhill from there. On top of all that, this game started as a mobile game that was 100% P2W. This company's previous game had the exact same problem. Brushing this off is not ok. It NEVER EVER stops as just one thing. This is fucking Tencent. All they do is gobble up studios/publishers, IP's and shove out copy pasted games like this. The vast majority of this game is premade assets from the Unreal developer store. You absolutely cannot expect a wholly Chinese own studio not to do what they do with everything else. No P2W at all. It does not belong in games whatsoever. Also, there will never be a F2P extraction shooter that lasts for more than a few months at most. This kind of game cannot be F2P. Tencent is merely trying to take the spotlight away from Tarkov.

I don't like the idea that scummy mobile monetization is coming to PC games. You know it's going to end up with PC gaming becoming dominated by f2p minimum viable products with mobile monetization eventually. I mean it's already happening to an extent, and the more people accept this type of monetization model the more likely it's gonna become mainstream. They always boil the frog. I played mobile games with monetization like this, my favourite one which had competitive PVP started out being very f2p friendly but over years as the game aged, more systems were introduced to make it harder and less fun for those who didn't whale because an increasingly huge gap grew between f2p and whale power level. Granted extraction shooter is probably the genre that's least affected by p2w mechanics but I'm sure they'll eventually figure out a way to make it so that you'll need to spend more money.

I play the game a lot and I do find it fun but I have to call BS on the scav raids making 500k or your PMC making 1 mil on normal mode. Me and my friend ran Valley on Lockdown mode for 6h today and we were constantly rushing either Small Factory or Beach Villa, whichever was close to our spawn and then we would go to the other one after looting the first. I managed to get to 5-6 safes today and I never got more than 40-50k value out of them. We looted all other containers that we could find and 99% of times it was all grey trash loot. All day I managed to find 2 golden items (one worth 15k, the other 37K) and less than 10 purple items. Counting all the loot found on the map or AI, we would usually get out with 200-300k, in a game mode where you pay 20k as entry fee, you have to risk at least 100k worth of gear and spend a few more tens of thousands on ammo and consumables. The only times when we would make any more than that would be if we got into PvP and took other player's gear, which is how I once got out with 800k and another time with 1 mil(wiped two squads for that). Every time I came out with more than 400-500k in any mode, playing as scav or PMC, was because I picked another player's expensive kit. So I'm sorry but I don't believe you. Not to mention that inflation is already a thing when some items have doubled in price compared to not even a week ago. 11:50 even after killing 7 PMCs, you only made 605k.

@@Andrei.F Big income is mainly from killing other players yes but there are other ways of getting money, you can literally make 200k/h+ profit just from flipping items from that one vendor (idr his name). Switch up the playstyle, if u get killed alot then rat someone or take different approach to gunfights. Last resort would be doing scav runs but thats barely even needed since you can just flip items from the vendor. Quests give gear + money .. etc. If someone gets killed every single time then i mean, thats a skill issue honestly.

That trader has an 8h reset timer and depending on your luck you could get garbage from him so it's not 200k per hour, it's 200k once every 8 hours. Forbidden Zone mode requires you to equip gear worth over 300K(which doesn't include money spent on ammo and consumables so add at least another 100k) and then also pay a 50k entrance fee.

I so much agree with you Kotton on the p2w thing , the loot is amped up , Im at 4m and only played like 6 raids , I dont think youll ever need to buy any money, and that subscription case I mean cmon its 5 or 10 dollars per month its nothing.. I think thats a fair price for what the game is and if they are consistent with updates and content, there is really only 1 thing that bothers me and thats the blurry visuals , the AA needs to be fixed , Ive tried many combinations of settings and cant seem to take away that distance blurriness or when you move around.

Finally a good take off a content creator. Thanks for actually playing the game and making your own opinion about it. I'm up to 20mil stash and haven't paid a single dollar whilst not even being good at the game. There is so many budget options to kill geared players: A Mosin with SNB like you touched on, leg meta with Dum-Dum or a P90 with the high damage rounds, or even just a Saiga with Type 8 Buckshot. The game is super fun, there is a lot of pvp to enjoy and even if you just want to make money on valley, you can loot up and extract without much pvp aswell if that is your style.

Answer: NO Doesnt worth spending irl money for koens since you can make koens easy even if you are a conplete noob you can manage to get at worst 80k per normal raid,not mentioning that you normally make 400-500k per raid as a geared player on lockdowns. So spending money is not worth cuz you get small amount of koens for alot of irl koens. I play the game for 8 days now and I made 6mills in the past 7 days. I completely agree with your views on this game. Maybe the only thing i don’t like is the amount of content, but hey they just released in to EA. This game is way better than 90% of the EA games that have been in the loop for multiple years. Game feels quite easy since i have over 2000 hours in Tarkov, this feels like home. I believe people were more upset that the Devs lied than that it's strictly speaking pay to win. If they would have just come out and explained what they were doing with the loot and monetization, I doubt it everyone would be this upset. Personally, I'm with you. The game is fun, pretty streamlined, and loot seems plentiful, but it's hard for me to endorse this game when the Devs outright lie to the community. Especially considering how many other extraction shooters are on the horizon. At the end of the day though, if you can have fun with it, do so.

How is it, that you run the biggest secure container there is, that you can only buy for real money (9,30€ or 10,23$ per month ! ), yet you promote the game as f2p, when you clearly use p2w elements yourself? Just be real about it dude :/ I know what you mean, you can play the game without this container and other p2w stuff. But you cant get out with a 1,4 millions vase in your butt without that container for 10 bucks a month. That's something you should mention. Also, I really like your videos. They brought me to Tarkov and A twisted path to reknown. So, take it as constructive criticism. Anyways, have a good day my man :)

Thank you for that intro speach! I had the same exact discussion with one of my tarkov mates and you put my arguments into words so well. Yeah, you can pay 15 bucks on an overpowered gearset. You could also just farm the money in 2-3 raids. Also my Mosin/M700 is still gonna onetap that fool any time and high tier ammo is available from the start.

exactly im just glad the game is free and has this as a option. i love the freemium business model when the mechanics in the game force the player to buy the IGC. this game seems like it really shits out loot and that is fine. money for cash is just for the shitters that are hooked but suck.

Exactly this, basically the only thing I disagree with is monthly subscription for secure container. I think they should let us earn a basic one through some quests and get to keep it forever with an option to pay for a bigger container for those who want to do it, but of course that would also be through a single payment.

i mean... what do you think? pretend you WILL NOT put money into the game. would you play? can only use a safe container 28% of the time you play and its just 1x2, otherwise you literally dont have one. and key space? like that isnt super important in these games... game could be the most fun extract game around and it wouldnt matter because the field isnt evenly matched for progression. idgaf about buying in game money, i think thats completely fine honestly. the other restrictions are a joke of an attempt at f2p model. this will be the last video i watch on the game until these issues are addressed and i think anyone saying the game has a good monetization model is just huffing while spending and seeing through horse blinders

Being able to easily get money kinda ruins the whole scavenger looter mechanic though and being able to buy money puts them in a terrible place because they can never make it harder to get loot and money in raid or else people will cry p2w
