On board 2, if you play the Queen of Hearts on the opening lead, the robot might play back a heart. If you play low, they are certain to play back a spade. On board 6, it's always right to run against the robots - they never double a rescue bid.

depends on how many hearts you have as well as HCP.

He did explain it, but so quickly. Rule of 15: Need 4 Spades and 11 high card points; so you add, 11 + 4 = 15 That is simple as it gets.

@@harrisbobroff9813 No you are wrong - in the last seat you add up your high card point and the number of spades and if that comes to 15 or more you can open....so if you had a 14 count and void spades - you should pass....if you had 13 hcp and 1 spade - you would pass etc. etc. Alternatively what you can do is open a weak 2 or weak 3 in 4th position rather than passing . e.g. I had a hand like xx, KQx, Jx, KQJxxx - so rather than open 1C - I opened it a pre-emptive 3C to make it hard for them to find their spade fit. 3C and 3S makes on this hand - but they had no chance of finding it without taking a massive risk.

@@johnworf Not sure why you picked on me?? All I said, I did not hear his explanation. Vulnerability has a lot to do with Preempts. Thanks for the Explanation. I probably know it by heart. But I play Precision and use other rules for opening and Preempts.

Peter - Do you mean use the rules of 15 for opening 1nt or a suit? It wasn't explained.

It is for opening whatever you normally would open or should you pass the bid in. If you have 15-17 balanced you would always be 17+ in that rule because of your 15+ HCP and 2+S.
