Let's dive into this DLC I previously refused to buy to see how it holds up to scrutiny, also I forgot to mention, you absolutely don't get to spend enough time with Ogerpon to really care about it.

12:01 It is HILARIOUS how empty the festival is after it being such a big part of the DLC’s promotion, that’s actually wild to me 💀 I’m so glad I haven’t played a Pokemon game since B2W2.

Imagine 400s Jerusalem and a child goes around town telling people “Well actually, Jesus was the one who betrayed Judas” and everyone goes “Ah ok, good to know, let me change my whole belief system that’s been passed down for a few centuries.” The ease with which these people believed Kieran was insane to me.

I’m glad I didn’t buy this dlc. The story is just so… nothing. Literally _every_ line of dialogue feels forced, like it only exists to advance the plot. But said plot doesn’t even make sense. The human and ogre had such obvious body shapes, but hiding their faces made everyone just suddenly not recognize them? Kieran punches a rock and somehow (??) brings the Loyal Three back to life? No one believed Kieran about the ogre before, but they all believe him now after he just adds a couple extra sentences and no proof? And of course the "festival" with three people, two booths, one awful minigame, and zero frames. Game Freak should've paid _us_ to play this tbh Thanks for making this video despite all the technical difficulties! I really enjoy your commentary style, had me dying the whole way through. I’d love to see a video on Indigo Disk if you’d be up to making one!

The townspeople of current Kitakami probably don't even know what the actual ogre looks like as the one on the signs & its festival mask depict & imagine it to be a big, ugly & terrifying monster that tried attacking the village yrs ago, but in actuality it's quite small in size & not at all a threatening creature. So it's reasonable why Carmine couldn't recognise it while it was wearing the mask & the MC literally is hearing about it for the 1st time. Besides they could be under the assumption that a child was cosplaying as the ogre. People dressing up as a Pkmn isn't really a new thing as some trainer classes are shown to wear Pikachu, Eevee or Slowpoke get up. The Loyal 3 came back to life directly after Kieran punched the grave of them & ran off while he was in hold of Teal Mask. It's theorized by fans that the jewels in the mask are from Crystal Pool & it's rumoured the pool is where you can meet those who've passed away. Perhaps Kieran's negative emotions/desires might've also helped in their ressercution. I wouldn't blame you for overlooking those details cuz they're obscure & would mostly be noticed by theorists first so I'll cut you some slack for that one in particular. But I'll say tho maybe try thinking harder next time b4 calling a story "nothing" bozo. I wouldn't call Ogre Oustin' awful, tho it'd be a lot more enjoyable if it maintained a steady performance while playing. Also, it basically requires you to have with other players helping you in the later modes & stages, but the reward at the very end for winning is perhaps well worth it for some people, gifting you a Shiny Munchlax, adding to the list of guaranteed Shiny Pkmn if you're patient enuf to go through the trouble. Other rewards for completing it are stuff like xp candies, stat-increasing Mochi & more, so I really can't say it's bad.

Thank you! You are probably the only person to mention how they put in a small number of Pokémon in the base game and then sell more in the expensive DLC. Everyone gets excited because of returning Pokémon like Zebstrika, Gligar, Corphish, Vulpix, Sentret, Koffing, Yanma, Geodude, Metagross etc. but in my mind I’m saying these Pokémon could have been in the base game to begin with so we can have more variety on what Pokémon we want to use. This is why Gamefreak (to quote Paul) is pathetic. I would rather have a third version instead of DLC.

I think the beauty of the DLC is that they dont HAVE to release a third version, Pre-DLC days they had no choice. but these are pre existing models they already have ready to go. Just make them a free update lmao

Just nitpicked every little thing u can for the story & had typical complaints like "selling" us old Pkmn back, having to lie to Kieran. The only things u stated to be positives were the character designs, Kieran's & Carmine's animations, the music, Ogrebonk's design & the final battle w it, much like some other review of this DLC that willingly ignored the other good things as well. 4:35 Didn't the older games do the same thing of buying older Pkmn? For instance, if u want to have a buncha Kanto & Jotho in Ruby/Sapphire, you'd need to get hold of FrLg, finish its whole postgame & then you'll be able to trade between the games. It's not a new concept. It has been a motivator for players to purchase other games (spinoffs even) to trade/transfer in order to complete the Pokédex. 35:17 You were being too picky about what things u wanna don't do. Tho I can guarantee if u had done those postgame activities, you'd somehow nitpick & sh’t on those things too saying they should've been in the basegame or something. 15:54 Kitakami is apparently dangerous at nighttime. Carmine is a bit of an protective & controlling person, looking after her brother closely. Hiding that we saw the ogre & that it dropped its mask is for his safety & if he does get hurt in someway, she could be scolded for not taking care of Kiki properly (be scolded in front of protag no less). She even questions if she's overthinking it, but Kieran could easily make reckless choices like idk running off with the mask or trying to help Ogrepon by revealing the truth about it & Loyal 3 cuz "he really, really, really likes the ogre." His obsessiveness to it would led him to quickly go out & prove the ogre's innocence to everyone despite being a unwary option. 20:32 "For seemingly no reason Grandpa doesn't wanna tell Kieran or town's people the truth." Well, there're reasons, a lots of reasons actually, but I'll try to shorten them. 1st & foremost is clear that Grandpa was afraid to inform people cuz he states that the mask maker (his ancestor) desperately attempted to utter the truth of the matter, but nobody took him seriously & in fact, was persecuted as a heretic. In the end, he chose to protect his descendants by keeping his mouth shut. However, he kept the truth alive - passed down generations to generations as a family secret. As for why they didn't make Kiki aware of this is cuz of the same reasonings as I said b4. 23:07 1st moans about Ogre Oustin' & then also asks for some diving minigame???? The lake already lags like crazy so I couldn't imagine how much more it'd struggle to run if we went diving. 27:16 the reason Loyal 3 became titan sized is cuz they ate Mochi that was filled w Herba Mystica. The Caretaker literally told us "& we offered them a platter of our special Kitakami Mochi, packed full of our best herbs! ...The Loyal 3 are bigger & stronger now, I'm sure!" Were u not paying attention? 30:03 perhaps Grandpa assisted in convincing once he observed Kieran began revealing the tale, asking them to first be introduced to the ogre b4 denying the different side of the story. Once seeing it in person, the people came to conclusion that they were wrong the whole time & were supporting the "evil" instead. Ogrepon didn't attack anyone, rather it was scared to enter the town & that should tell everybody of its childlike innocence & sweet appearance. 37:03 umm excuse me..New Snap is not developed by Gamefreak. Everybody have the knowledge that it was made by Bandai Namco. He hated SV & was dreading at the mere thought of buying its DLC packs & regretting the decision afterwards, but did it anyway to make content out of complaining about it. What a f***ing d!ck. It's people like u that throw money at Gamefreak no matter what, knowing well they'll not like what they're paying for. To quote Carmine, who perfectly describes my feelings regarding these types of people, "Oooh, that REALLY gets my blood boiling!" It's not even that I disagree w you as you're valid at some points (version exclusive DLCs, new hairstyles not being free updates, not bothering to fix the performance & bugs, the DLC prices). I do realise that Im sounding like SV apologist when in reality I'm not. I simply wanted to specify that u missed the mark several times with holes to your arguments. I know I spent & frankly wasted a lot of time writing this comment, but I couldn't resist the urge to do so since the whole idea of getting the DLC for the sake of "content" is truly a jerkish move what can I say. Im so baffled that nobody except me in the comments are debating with you or pointing out the mistakes. Speaks a lot about this fanbase that they're thoughtlessly willing to agree to a guy that didnt do much of his research regarding the so-called "plotholes" of the story. Am I saying this whole video is a mistake? No. It's fairly entertaining, especially for those that thoroughly despises SV.

...You do know I made that opening AFTER I played the DLC right? That wasn't me dreading it live lol. Surely the entire purpose of a review is to be opinionated. Maybe I did miss a few things about the story but the fact still stands That I did not enjoy it, nor the gameplay, nor the fundamental lack of polish. I actually didn't know a different studio made snap. But the Perrin portion is no less ASS. This is definitely more for entertainment than being hard nosed logically flawless critique though lol Either way, Appreciate the comment! Maybe you'll be more satisfied with my review of part two. It's definitely better than Teal Mask was.

BTW, the reason for battling Kieran repeatedly is that there were complaints in the last DLCs (SwSh's) is that there aren't enuf trainer battles or battling in general in Crown Tundra's case.
