This show has never been the same since Ward died. He was a villain with depth. Someone you hated and loved at the same time because there was more to him than just the "villain of the week" motivation. We got to see him the way he saw himself, as a hero even though he truly was a murdering son of a bitch.

Seven seasons later and Ward is still my favorite thing about this show. He was a villain yes but one you sympathized with and even rooted for despite being a cold blooded murderer. They really took the time to flesh him out and in the end, they did everything they could with his character. It's always a shame when such a great character arc runs its course and the only thing left is to put him to rest. Also I did not care for Hive.

grant ward is such a complex and well written character that it's impossible for me to hate him, even after everything. he's probably one of the best villains of all time. congratulations on making the PERFECT edit to encompass that.

I do miss Ward, a lot actually. I do want to see him again, but that's literally impossible unless Fitz created another bot that is exactly like Ward, or maybe the 'hydra' of the future created him using time travel. Or something just over the top. I want to see Ward again, the good Ward. But amazing edit. I loved it.

Da Bagel oh definitely, that would be the best way to end it. He hurt Fitz the most, despite him not intending to. He broke Fitz. It would be like a good way of redeeming him. Saving the one person who he hurt the most.

This is amazing! The song, the clips, the way it builds, the parallels- everything! And I love that you've tied Framework Ward into it, and the way he apologises for the actions of the 'real Ward' if you like. This edit reflects his entire character and story arc so well! The evil that Garrett made him into but the good that was always underneath, just never enough of it to win the fight between his dark side and good side. Love it!

Such a missed opportunity. Everybody glosses over the fact that he was brainwashed by Garrett into being the perfect soldier. I can’t believe nobody acknowledged that and demonized him so severely. He was a vulnerable, troubled teenager taken out to the wilderness and was broken down to be built back up by Garrett. He learned to throw away all personal attachments except Garrett and that he could only depend on him. That’s what cults do- he was brainwashed. I feel like that should have been mentioned at least, maybe by Bobbi since psychology was her thing.

Bobbi did mention that. Her argument was that Ward never took responsibility for things he did outside of Garrett's influence. For instance convincing Agent 33 to get revenge against Bobbi by torturing her. Garrett didn't tell Ward to convince Agent 33 to hurt Bobbi. Also in the Framework Ward was recruited by Victoria Hand and became a Shield Agent. Also Also in the Deke Shaw of Shield timeline Ward will be a loyal Shield Agent for Deke when he gets older.

In my opinion, yes ward betrayed them all and was the bad guy and all but I feel that he was just misunderstood kind of. Like he was brought up in a toxic family, then he was taught by a hydra agent so can we really blame him for becoming who he has. And he showed that he did care for the team but that was a 'weakness' so he 'eliminated' it . And he loved daisy but daisy Oviously didn't like him as she wanted him to rot in hell-

This was an Incredible Masterpiece for Grant Ward My Second Favorite Character and Villain on Agents of Shield. Brett Dalton Did a Legendary Job as Grant Ward, Hive and Framework Grant Ward. I kinda wish That The Real Version of Grant Ward would gotten have redeemed instead gone full evil and then getting killed in the process but I’am happy that there’s a version of him that is good. I was so happy Brett Dalton return for Season 4 of Agents of Shield and that The Framework Version of Grant Ward stayed Good I wish we could have kept him.
