There seems to be a theme in most younger armwrestlers that lose to Devon. In the end. You always seem to catch them doing this lift.
Does this mean that Devon Larratt lost to Kamil Jablonski. What do you think? Guess we will have to wait until ArmWars to find out.
Kamil Jablonski vs Devon Larratt

Sandris also was interested in the Devon lift, albeit a while after losing to him. And ironically, Pavlo did the lift with even more weight than Devon months before their match and lost lol

I think Pavlo was already a follower of Devon lol, but yeah, I forgot to add Sandris into that list lol

Everyone with a shorter arm will be lifting more than Larrat. The point is Larrat has longer leavers which makes it much much harder . Every cm of arm length makes it more difficult to lift . Example: you can lift 20-30-40 kg with your arm and hand yet it is almost impossible to lift a 3-4 kg weight if it is attached to a pole.

Nice way to put it. I myself was not pointing out the weights, just the similarities of the past and how Kamil just did it and I don't think I have ever seen him do that lift before. In the past it was more of a pulley lift he did.

I could be wrong, but I think the muscle insertion/attachment points and the ratio of those to the length of the lever is the important part. So yes if I put a 4kg weight at the end of the pole, all I would need to do is grab further down the pole to make it easier. Which is what the brachoradialis is doing on the forearm essentially@@jimjimmy3131

During E vs W 11 Neil kinda gave it away saying wondering if these guys would be a good match up for Devon. If Kamil had won why would Neil suggest Devon.

You are correct, but that was also a way to build controversy on the idea of if Devon won or lost. No matter the case stylistic matchup occur where one person can beat 2nd or 3rd seat but lose to #4 on the fact of the matchup. I do agree that seeing Devon face Matyushenko would be a great match!

Maybe, but this is Devon's left hand. I could easily see Kamil at the least taking 1 match. In all honesty, this matchup favored Kamil. Let's hope Devon brought back some of his inside game form Kamil.

Yeah, but anytime the people he defeats tend to always mimic that lift to a T. I just thought it was a funny to see him do it. It would be even funnier if he lost and that is why he is doing it and is doing the same as Ermes and Prudnik. Following the path of Devon. Lol

Could be, I suspected that but I like the meme that every recent armwrestler we see doing this lift has actually lost to Devon. It is like they are trying to see why his lifting style works. Pumpkin and core being just a strap from the floor and tabletime. Lol

@@SavageArmWrestling many of them understand after how important the hand is and not only arm strength. And those lifts Devon do with pronation and riser working pretty good , and they begin with that to😅 becuse all of them who lost to Devon is trough the hand.
@SavageArmWrestling
@SavageArmWrestling 5 ай бұрын
Yes he does, but I also think this comes through the style he practices. He tends to give his opponents everything and only engages up and pronation pressure, he seems to only apply cup after he can't stop his sparring partner with just that and from there he adds more and more. It's very logical and that is why he always seems underwhelming during sparring due to applying just the muscles he needs for the stop.
@jocke8672
@jocke8672 5 ай бұрын
@@SavageArmWrestling in my opinion he give up the pronation in practice , and try to stop the traningpartner without to much pronation and cup pressure. And if he gets pin first. Then he engage more pronation and then the stop comes, and next round he engage even more pronation and the stop came higher and higher. Thats my opinion. You can correct me if im wrong. But many people dont understand when Devon gets pin in practice. They dont seems to know what he gave up. 😅

@jocke8672 I think we are both right here. I think he does what is best for his training and his training partner. In the end I think that Devon would be an amazing sparring a partner for that reason.
