Does This Mean We Are Getting A New Fight Night? My Thoughts

Yo yo! I definitely feel you on the gamer before boxer issue with the games and how it promotes exploit metas over the sim like players. It’s really too bad the developers of Undisputed just refused to listen to the real players and add some mechanics that allow more ways to punish exploiters. What you mention about the line between sim and cheese because I always liken it along a continuum from avoidance and running to in your face aggression. Everything in between is a dance to essentially hit and not get hit better than the next. So it’s possible to be a pretty good boxer type in say Undisputed but not highly competitive as the skill ceiling is too low so people can just lead body uppercut their way to victory as there is no punishment options nor better punches.

I bet the lazy EA would just take UFC 5's engine, remove all sort of grappling/ground game/kicks/knees/elbows etc, add a few rings and some irrelevant boxers while leaving out so many relevant ones and just sell it as the new Fight Night game hahah :D and they would add even more goofy stuff to the game, you know, like all those colorful vanity items, fortnite dancing emotes and microtransations etc, to pander to the casual kids :)

Every time I play somebody that actually tries to box its a wonder because I got over 1000 matches on FNC and probably 10 or 11 great fights that I thoroughly enjoyed

Brother, that’s why I show so much optimism about Undisputed. Because following up on FN hype got annoying. I take FN news like I take Laker news: if it ain’t from woj or Jeanie I DONT BELIEVE IT! Whenever EA decide to announce a FN game I’ll be excited.

I can count on 1 hand absolute legit players who box and make it look easy. Majority of people have been throwing 2 punches for the last decade. They don't care about exploring the game in all it has to offer

People want to win before they want to emulate the sport. That's very true in combat sports games, like you said. It's sad. How to cheese the game and find the meta is what too many people are concerned with. In my head when I play combat sports games I always say "death before dishonor". I'd rather lose in a sim way that makes sense, and is true to the IRL sport, and do some cheap nonsense and win. How can you even be happy and feel good about yourself after cheap wins? Again, it's just sad.

Even if its true, I dont think its worth any hype for. Because it most likely not gonna be any good, i mean nothing like the good old Fight Night games. its probably gonna be a shell of what it once was, just like how UFC 5 is compared to good old UFC Undisputed 3 or how current FIFA is compared to FIFA 11-14

Personally I think I got lucky because I came across your fightnight content before any other E combat sports content. So I got the best of actually learning how to play the game and how to look out for the spam and cheese. If EA does release a new FN I would expect us to have the same issues with players with no integrity but we would expierience a new game at least.

Nailed it! Hiding behind the round wining SS upper by sprinkling it in..... Trash players "box" and justify SS upper which pretty much win any exchange when you go forward. less blatant than step back straights etc..... SS upper is way more subtle and you wont catch it unless you know. IMO only way to beat SS uppers is hide behind the Philly shell and out fight for 10 rounds.

Gamers before boxers. Certainly true. The game should credit boxing over spamming and modded characters that never lose stamina or strength even after throwing over 1000 punches. Quick rant 😆. Great Video. Will you do a video on the proper way to use a unconventional style boxer to obtain victories on owc? Alot of new Gamers are confused to how you can have a better percentage than your opponent in the majority of the scoring categories and a knockdown yet lose the decision.

The thought of a new Fight Night doesn't excite me because it's been so long and because EA is even worse as a company now than it was back then. I can imagine a bunch of micro transactions. I can also see the new game being more arcade than sim with cheesey exploit nonsense on the level of UFC 4 and 5

Gamers hardcore spammers and casuals all care… As a hardcore gamer I want a game that is designed to be skilled based and a good representation of the sport. However, I’m not gonna milk the community for extra views on my channel or believe there is something new coming from baseless rumors and pointless speculation. That was my argument.
