He got Nea in the main building 2nd floor yet went for David running toward Shack only to have Off The Record proc'd. That was probably the turning point, yeah. 3rd time around was a free pallet save, tho. Hooking her near the gate was definitely a mistake, but can you blame Tru3 for that? That was all luck.

Ah, yes, the fair 4% to deny you of a win after getting genrushed, while being forced to tunnel because going for Nea and not David was for nothing thanks to the pallet save. It just feels like being their puppet when they are good. One thing is a match being very close and intense because both sides are good and other thing is feeling like their plaything while getting some kills in the end because of their missplays. Stopping to play dbd was a great decision for me.

Its not 4% anymore and has not been since.. Year 2 I think? Its a lot higher of a chance now as a base that is. Think its something like 14 to 18% as a base chance now. Have to look into things again ( IE look at the code. ) but I believe it was around those percentages.. Again not talking about altered self unhook ( IE "Koby" ) from offerings and/or perks.. Talking about just the base percentage.

I've had hatches spawn directly under me, preventing an otherwise guaranteed death. This is why I don't take this game as a competitive game in the slightest. If you can "escape" and "win" in BHVR's eyes due to heavy levels of RNG then it just shows that there is no skill involvement and thus, nothing to even compete over.

Exactly, it's either perks that carries you or RNG. Rarely is it the player's skill and one would be a fool to argue otherwise. For example the old DH, we all know how cancer it was, the moment they reworked it for the first 2weeks not a single survivor I faced actually knew how to loop me. Up until then they've been relying on the perk and it shows. Then there are the maps, some are huge and some are tiny. A Myers player for example will have fun on a map like Midwhich whereas he'll suffer on a map like Red Forest. Here the map is the deciding factor and if not then a huge influence on the outcome. And the maps aren't always the same, sometimes there are 2 pallets on the map and other times 50. Sometimes there are many unsafe loops and others there are many good loops, sometimes they're connected to other good loops. And ofc there is player skill as it is in any other game too, but that plays a very small role because you have 3 other things completely out of your control that influence the outcome just as much if not more This is far from being a competitive game, in a competitive game the winner should be decided by skill alone or mostly. This is just bs, there is a reason why dbd tournaments are so boring to watch

@@sorrysirmygunisoneba My best explanation for it is that the sweatiest and strongest players know solo queue is dogshit so they don't take the risk and all play together. This means that when you do play solo queue, you almost never get a competent team because all the competent players are trying to win and thus playing in 4 man SWF, which you are locked out of as a solo queue. Likewise, there are going to logically be more SWF players at high MMR due to being able to win far more often.

The game is survivor favorite it will always be. It's a financial tactic, in each trial there is one killer for four survivors. Devs can't make both side happy at the same time; so from a financial standpoint what are there more of in the game? Who makes the more sense to keep happy? The survivors.

Or at least they should cut it like in the old days. Self bt lasted only 3 seconds if I remember correctly and then it's fair for both sides. You can't just instantly down them under the hook but it doesn't last long enough to guarantee a free escape either if you hooked near an open gate.

Like some other people I definitely thought he should have hooked the Nea when he downed her on balcony from below. I get he wanted to take 1 dude out but I just thought in my head personally I would have hooked Nea at least once then went for the David again but I barely play killer so what do I know. I do agree that all the DH do seem ridiculous and on top of that you add OTR and it’s a lot of things can combine to save survivors. They might have to make it to where you can only choose between DH or OTR and not be able to use both together but idk

there is no 4% chance for killers to insta down or go from 1st to 2nd hook because there is no risk involved in it. a survivor can take a chance to 4% but in doing so they risk losing a whole hook state and making the game easier for the killer since they have to hook them 1 less time. i dont really know what youre trying to say in the last few sentences

I don't know about endgame negating BT. It's rewarding for survivors for risking it. If they removed BT for endgame would it also apply to deliverance? I mean, that survivor went off rader and never got hooked. What about the other survivor trying to unhook? If that was the case, getting a 3k would be harder because they would just leave.

I agree that the 4% (which is actually ~11% considering you can try to unhook yourself 3 times) is bs, but I think a lot of mistakes were made during this match, as other people have pointed out, starting with completely ignoring lethal pursuer at the beginning of the match. I am no one to judge because I suck hard at plague, but I always try to look at what mistakes I made before blaming the game.

Yeah, between the 4% and the map, there was a lot of BS here. But you did make a few mistakes. Ignoring the gen explosion at the start, in favour of checking lockers (people don't get infected if you puke on a locker they are already in, afaik) burned your early game completely. Also, slugging the Nea in main to go for David when you didn't knoe where he was? Misplay. She'd have been in 2nd stage at endgame and you would have 3k'd. Then you slugged again at endgame to spend ages chasing someone else, giving them time to 99% both doors AND pick up the slug.

It just seems like you tried to tunnel and the survivors had anti tunnel perks. The game was lost when the killer went out of their way to tunnel the David, wasting his time and leaving what could have been a ton of pressure. Nice gameplay tho and BT should not activate on self unhooks

I stopped playing this gave about a year ago. I defo don't miss it. Ok I take it back, I miss playing it when it first came out in 2016 and I think the devs got too political, horrendously TOXIC community, crazy amounts of microtransactions, and I don't see the game headed in the right direction. My opinion ofc. I will say I do ENJOY watching Tru3 play and that is what keeps me remotely interested in DBD, but that is it.

yes, the best way for survivors to counter killrush is to genrush... at the same time, the best way for the killer to counter genrush is to killrush..... survivors have the tools to prolong the chases, and killers have to play smart to overcome them.... whichever side does it best wins...

The Gen rushing wasn't the Problem, Survivors are just doing their objective. Just like the Killer is doing his. I think the problem he was pointing out was that BT should not activate off of a 4% from unhooking yourself, neither should perks like Decisive strike be useable in end game. There's 0 counter and no skill involved.

He's talking about the bs at the end of the game but you ain't wrong, his early game was atrocious and without his power he shouldn't have taken any chase around shack. I think his early game has suffered a lot from switching to a tunneling playstyle. When your objective isn't to control the gens but merely to eliminate one survivor as fast as possible, then the early game isn't as important since you expect to lose a few gens for the trade.

It's funny how killers complain a lot Like man I'm having the worst time of solo queue with a terrible survivor partner, even though if I beg one of you killers hey man you really clapped us pretty bad Can at least have hatch nope... slug you hook you anyways, do I get mad no it is what it is I'm getting numb after a while losing Don't bother me one bit but it's sad how killers think, when there using meta sweaty perks in a game some survivors be in a disadvantage by somebody DC, or killed themselves on hook, or obviously tunnelling, I kill myself I'm entitled, I DC I'm entitled, I use any meta I'm sweaty, I play normally by looping I get camped, I try putting a toolbox in front of the killer or try to have fun by using a snowman I get hook, it seems to me killer's live in this delusional grandeur ways of there's for me i love getting Mori or playing a good game with a chill killer but it's hard find those, unfortunately 🤦‍♂️

To me, this does seem fair. You played most of the game pretty well, otherwise you wouldn't get a 3k on Ormond as Plague. That final escape only occurred due to a kobe, which should - statistically speaking - only happen every 25th match. That's just luck, you gotta accept that. What if I play survivor and randomly get a map with 5 pallets? Shouldn't I complain about maps being too killer-sided now? To be honest, a 2k on Ormond as Plague with these perks against decent survivors is still essentially a win.

Something to keep in mind in general is that an RNG program's actual randomness is only as sophisticated as the coding behind it. Most average RNG computer code has been shown to skew results in ways that demonstrate the RNG settling into unintended patterns. In short, what "in concept" the game calls a 4% chance might be happening significantly more than the law of averages states it should if the code behind it is generating biased results.
