**WE KNOW THESE MIGHT NOT BE WIPERS** we were very excited and tunnel visioned. We think Riley’s could have been a juvenile just because of how it fought and how it looked. We are going back soon to figure it out!! Thank you guys for the comments, any knowledge is good knowledge

Don't let anyone take away your hype, dude! Super rad task to set out on and some radical catches regardless. Im with you on that second one, seems more wiper like. Also, i guarentee you that if you keep posting like this on the reg, youll be making all these dorks annual salary in a month! Keep it up dude!

@@Michaelraybashaw Dat aint no striper you fool. You niggas need to learn how to identify fish species. That fish is just a regular white bass.

Great video, we fished Columbia for over 12 years when Hybrids and LM were well populated. That is definitely a fish refuge where you were fishing. Been kicked out o there by trucks driving around the lake. We havent caught a Hybrid in about 10 years. Those are definitely nice sized whites, and that walleye was a nice catch. The smallies, white bass, and walleye all came through the pipe from the Wisconsin River.

❤this brings back many fond memories of when my husband and i used to fish that Lake early mornings, many moon ago. The whipers usually congregate in cooler part of the lake, mainly where you caught that walleye and the runoffs. You would instantly know when it was a whiper, they would attack your lure and dive straight down. Fun fish to fight for sure. That cooler water is pumped directly from the Wisconsin river, and im sure many other species do get sucked through the pump into Colombia. Im sure lots of monster flathead still lurk in that water, very active at night.

thanks for the info! It’s a crazy crazy place, very mysterious, wonder what other species could be swimming around…

his is the best video I have seen in a long time my oldest son shared it with me and I am taking my youngest son out sometime this week. Thank you for the awesome video it is greatly appreciated! I have a video of me catching like 20 of those in a day in that spot but that was 15 years ago. I tell my own kids stories about this place all the time!

Me and my old man were thinking about going to Lake Columbia for some wipers to see if they still exist there, only know for sure if you look at their tongue for 2 patches, as they indicate they’re wipers or stripers.

Damn we didn’t check, we think the second one could have been one, we are going to figure it out soon! Thanks for the info that’s gonna help a lot

Dude, walleye was very unexpected. Like others are saying, we think after everything those white bass could have been just white bass, we want to go back and grind for a while to see if we can find a true giant striper

Epic video! The for sure way to tell would have been to get a shot of the wiper/white bass tongue tooth patches. Wipers have 2 patches while white bass have 1. What a spot though!
@Michaelraybashaw16 сағат бұрын
Thank you man!! Yes we are going to have to check for that next time. Never have really seen one in person so now that I know all this I feel like a dork but hey, you live and you learn. I think there’s still a shot we can get on one. Next vid I will for sure make sure to point that out.

No worries man not being a jerk at all! Honestly after the excitement was over, we mentioned that they for sure could have been bigger and weird looking white bass; however, the one Riley caught looked very odd compared to the first one I caught. We think there’s a chance it could have been a juvenile hybrid, we are gonna go back soon and figure it out! Thanks for the comment
