Our black and Decker Lithium works just fine. To be honest, letting it charge up for half an hour first would have been reasonable. But hey, yours was free! Have a great day, Joel.

I been using the Ryobi vacuum that come in many of my kit of tools, with the old non-lithium battery is not that great but with the new lithium battery it works amazing. Just the price of the battery would cost more then this vacuum. I been sticking with Shark for big vacuum since they are cheaper and have good sucking and easy to empty and don't get clog up easily.

You need to 3D print some attachments... maybe a hose? using the "NOT A SLINKY" you just printed....? You'd just need to wrap it in shrink wrap/cling wrap.

You have to start somewhere, This feels like more of a proof of concept for the advertising capabilities he has and ... well... he was given a < $40 vacuum ... shrug... I agree with Brett Ellis (commented earlier) he should have been paid well for this. He probably spent an hour recording + charge time waiting, an hour maybe .5 of an hour editing. A grand total of probably a little less than two hours on this. They most likely paid him not much more than the cost of the vacuum because of only the 10K subs (at time of posting) to this channel. Then he probably gets a bonus for each affiliate link click... So if we want him to get money... click the link and get more people to subscribe to this channel. His click through rate on affiliate links, and subscriber count, needs to be high for him to be able to command more sponsor pay.

I got paid nothing for this. It was sent in for review MONTHS ago, and I just kept not having the time. I spent roughly 4 hours with this, in between shooting things for the main channel. The link is to Amazon, and if clicked AND if someone purchases through there, I think I get 80 cents. Vacuum reviews are NOT the future of the channel, and I have some policies put into place AFTER receiving the vacuum. If I'm anything, I'm true to my word and I did fulfill the vacuum review. To the vacuum's credit, I bet it'll see some use and pick up scraps on the workbench.

@Technically Nerdy: Joel, Sean, I have to say I was a little disappointed by this video. Except for the lolz of Godzilla stomping cookies it seemed neither Technically nor Nerdy. I propose a new video titled, "How Much Does This Vacuum Suck?" Using the magic of 3D printing I propose we design, print and test a series of inverted cone attachments for this vacuum to see how much it really sucks when trying to pick up a 10lb bowling ball. The smallest diameter cone that can pick up the bowling ball will give a rough indication of the vacuum's sucking power, e.g.: * diameter = 6"; area = 28.23 sqi; suction = 0.35 psi. * diameter = 5"; area = 19.63 sqi; suction = 0.50 psi. * diameter = 4"; area = 12.57 sqi; suction = 0.80 psi. * diameter = 3"; area = 7.07 sqi; suction = 1.41 psi. * diameter = 2"; area = 3.14 sqi; suction = 3.18 psi. * diameter = 1"; area = 0.79 sqi; suction = 12.66 psi. To place it in context, and maybe establish a vaccum ranking system, you could try this experiment against other dust buster-style vaccums and even regular household and shop vacs!
