It depends but not necessary. The panels by themselves are heated pretty high when the sun is out, so snow will probably slip even at a lower inclination. But if clouds prevail maybe you must do something to clear them. Generally, a median line is the best as a vertical angle will perform extremely poorly in the summer, and summer is when you will get the most power.

It depends. Are you measuring in the summer? Depending on where you live, of course, horizontal orientation is the best. Measuring in winter? 40 degrees is the best. Of course, depending on where you live.

You need to do a full day test at each angle. 51 might produce the most facing directly south at 12 pm but if you left it, how does it perform in the afternoon and morning compared to a 0 degree panel. I would guess the gains of the extra angle are reduced over a full day

@adomijan1606 depends if it's cloudy you can get a lot of refractive light. Found that out yesterday my west facing array was getting 300-400w 1-2 before noon.

Yes. If yours are ground mounted you can raise the angle as well. I wonder if there's a mechanism to raise the angle on an xr10 rail on the roof?
