with full passive you can get 6 clones and with combo increase buff, 2 slices becomes 3, and 3 active skill becomes 4, and with half cool down, you are technically a killing machine for every known boss in this game, I always fight boss with full passive and let the clone kill it, 5 sec or less and their done

If you have become a seasoned veteran, you'll definitely get more resources to build weapons right before you start the dungeon. And with regarding the whole dodge situation with Assassin's Doppleganger, one has to be a grade A fool to NOT bring a melee weapon to deal with bullet hell. Plus, you can just safely do ranged attacks while your clones do melee, drawing aggro and be the tank. And if it still doesn't work out, it just becomes a skill issue at that point

Tbh, clearing the game without any setup need to take to accounts. Assassin's is strong but his s2 was so bad i just hate using it's, it's take to much set up while it extremly hard to pull our in normal badass run. Like his s1 is so good it could 100% wr against badass run even without weapon, while his s2 clone could die without right buff or the dmg was so bad thank to bad weapon. And his s3 was also a much better skills if you plan to set up in the main menu, his s2 is just a fun skills with setup. While tricksters s1 isn't scale on weapons, making her a much better choice compare to assassin s2 in no invest clears (She stand no chance against no invest assassin s1 anyway)

At the end of the day it's the setup and you don't need to be a high level for the right setup, I get a melee for bullet hell and give my clones ranged weapons of mass destructions, sometimes melee but it works. Sometimes you can't always proc the first skill against bosses so it worse imo.

Doppelgangers health is the characters health + armor and multiplied by 2 so if you have 5 hp and 5 armor then it becomes 20

Both have clone abilities, but that doesn't mean they're the same thing, and in-game, they both offer a different experience, so it doesn't matter which one is stronger or more useful. Play whichever one suits your playstyle.

With the same set up most charecters can even deal the same if not better dmg with more untility, With set up every charecters can clear hardest contents. His s1 is truly his best skills. Low cd, reset when kill and having long I-frame.

Trickster It is literally a beast in strengthening and at the beginning when you upgrade the ability more clones appear and more skills you have being able to have up to 7 in strengthening and with damage buffs It's very strong and one-shots most bosses. My trickster experience is pretty good but I haven't tried Assassin's and I'm just starting the game.

I would pick the assassin his skills are just way to versatile to pass on his 3rd and 2nd skill are op depends on what weapon are you using of course but if you did get a op weapon like the magic bow it can clean rooms and kill bosses in seconds to me i main his 3rd skill cuz it's like his 1st skill but better it deals a shit ton of damage and it can be use to evade or engage in a fight.

Trickster (imo) has the best DPS against bosses alongside Swordmasters’ second skill. Of course, Swordmaster has a bit more damage than her, but she’s pretty close. These two are the best if you’re speedrunning through levels.

Assassin clones are what I call bodyguards. They aren't meant for enemies but specifically, yourself. An example of this is how they can easily tank for you/destroy bullets USING blood blade, incase the point of "you have to use your side step skills" gets pulled up. Also, the clones can : Solo bosses (frozen axe or serenity) Heal you (pray weapon) Protect you (any good melee, preferably his starter wep) And best of all, keep you from being lonely (we all know the never ending grind, so why not a companion) So you can't really compare which one is "better". Just say what the clones can do and respect that. After all, we don't want chilly room bringing back the old meta of boss rush (if ykyk)

I'd say trickster would be busted if the clones used the weapon she wields. But that tiny detail makes the difference, which makes these 2 completely different. You should remember that every character has it's own purpose, has it's own playstyle and all of that stuff. As an example- priestess purpose is to heal your useless teammates in multiplayer. Berserk is- haha funny damage build. Rogue is the mobility Druid is mainly a boss slayer Witch is clearing rooms/bullet hell protection(2nd/3rd skill, first one is only clearing the rooms) And so the list goes on

Bro, i played trickster with a wholesale cooldown on her skill, to the ponit that you can spam one stack without it goinng down... Also, due to skill upgrade, i had six stacks and it never fell below 5 stacks, soni spammed my way to the finish line and beat all bosses with only her skill alone😂😂 and the clones come out wayy more often, so boss dies even before bullet hell if timed perfectly
