I think they want some weapons to be more interesting and different from the other weapons that are in the game so far, because some of them were not that impresive when you use them. For example, we have a bazooka and old bazooka, they were almost same from the firepower setting, the Crystal sword was cool, but the new feature makes it even better.

It's possible that they might appear in the future. Plus some of them didn't start yet. We have three weapon skins for free (check the mail in the Lobby), then one is avaible in the current even (for the Bazooka, Culinary even), one is avaible in the co-op event (r.i.p. solo players), one is currently in the Cat Shop for Fish Chips Hehehe, it's not impossible, just really challenging. Just speedrun the game and build your weapon, making it powerful enough to beat the game. Also, you don't have to continue to the next Floor when Interdimensional Traveler appears.
