I like roxon for the large scissors so personally I'd like to see the fold out scissors and the bit driver on one side and the 5 tools on the other.

Calling it what it is… the flex companion is effectively a toolbox for the flex to help carry long tools… What I struggle with is the scissors… the Scissors in the S802 and the KS2 along with some modularity made it “ROXON” but now it’s like most others…. I think I am going to get the Flex and the KS2E for now and get a companion to keep in my book bag as a “Tool Box”
@blade9292Ай бұрын

Nextool uses soft 3cr steel on almost all of their tools, that's why I don't want to buy them. The Roxon is using 4116 German stainless which is a step above. Obviously though the biggest comparison difference is the modularity, that's the main reason you buy this tool

I wonder when we get the first STL files (for 3D printing) for a inline bit holder like the one the Victorinox Cybertool has. ^^ Victorinox will still stay strong in Europe because of the knife laws, the lack of distributors, higher prices and minimized options. But all that can be mitigated by Roxon in time.
@garyk4017Ай бұрын
Thanks for the reminder about your 15% off code. I just ordered a Roxon Companion and added the long diamond file. With your coupon the two items together were only 50 cents more than the list price of the Companion alone. I probably have too many multi-tools already, but the this one is different enough from the others that it's worth having. I like gadgets, and this design certainly qualifies.

My K2S elite is better than any of my SAK. Everything locks, everything is one hand deployable, d2 knife steel so it doesn’t need constant sharpening. Once I got one 3 people I know followed suit. I don’t see any big quality difference. But the K2S elite is only a year old. I do use it a lot though.

@@afoolishman12 the one hand deployment is very underated, since none of the Victorinox's tools can be as easily access. Once you goes KS2E, you don't go back. And if it break? Nextool has shown some kind of innovation so my guess is they can still keep along, they'll probably never surpass Roxon but they'll be close enough to be interesting. As for Victorinox? No, they've stopped being a multitool company and is now more of a fashion company. What they DO offer is still of high quality, but they've clearly stopped caring for the multitool side of things and will probably not make any attempt to innovate, so they'll simply become stale. Leatherman had stopped being a multitool company and is now instead a collectors company. Their interest is making exclusives with a high price tag and low supply. We've seen this route taken by many MANY American companies. Gerber lacks the quality and good design to be anywhere close. SOG is a knife company with the multitools as a side piece, they have the PowerPint and PowerAccess which does all their lifting on that end.
