It's not really that he takes wrestling fans for granted... but WWE today probably has the most diverse audience in sports and entertainment history. You have the casual fans, meaning the ones who watch the weekly shows (only RAW and Smackdown) which consists of mostly children, their parents and grandparents on occasion. Then you have the die-hards, mostly adult, unmarried males, with their girlfriends, who appreciate the talents for their determination and hard work, regardless if they are big, small or lack some character development. Those fans will mostly still watch even if they vociferously disagree with the product WWE is putting out. Then you have the larger-than-life, all-about-the-characters fanbase. They are also known as the Russo appologists. You know, the ones who look at guys like Balor, Rollins, Owens, Zayn, Bryan, etc. and then proceed to call them ''Vanilla Midgets''. They cheer for the likes of Roman, Braun, Cena and Lesnar today and before that, they cheered for Undertaker, Stone Cold, The Rock, Triple H, Kane, Batista and guys like HBK, Y2J and Foley, who were midgets according to their height standard, but midgets with defined characters. They are the ones who absolutely don't care about 5-star matches, they care about promos, character development and the storylines, because they grew up on that stuff. And finally, you have the fans of the smaller guys, who grew up idolizing Bret Hart and HBK, then moved onto guys like Benoit, Eddie and Mysterio. Now they are fans of Rollins, Balor, Styles, Nakamura. They also like to watch other promotions as alternatives such as NJPW, ROH and Lucha Underground. They dislike people such as Reigns, Cena, Mahal, Orton, Sheamus, maybe even Braun to a small degree. Oh, yes and they are tired of Lesnar as champion. So it's a very diverse audience and it's just impossible to cater to all of these people's needs.

Shadow Dio 87. I will say this, until that old 🐐 either drops dead or retires, nothing will never change. This man is so out of touch with the product and the fans it's mind boggling. He just refuse change. It's proven that he only cares about making 💰 than making fans happy. Until he is gone, we are going to get the same constant formulaic garbage every week. This company right now will be better off if Vince is no longer have his cancerous hands on this product anymore. I hate to say that but it's FACT.

Vince: you're that Solo Creature guy right pal? Keep up the great work yeah!
@tonware6 жыл бұрын
Vince only cares about the kids and making sure they stick around. Forget the hardcore fans who swear up and down the hate the product, but still buys the tickets, subscribes to the WWE Network, creates videos and podcast discussing his product etc. He knows they aren't going anywhere no matter how boring the show is. As long as he keeps signing indy talent for NXT (which is probably the only reason alot of us probably still watch) he keeps us satisfied.
@Xehanort106 жыл бұрын
And the only reason he cares about the kids is because they're gullible and their opinions are easy to control which appeals to a control freak like Vince who wants all the fans to like and cheer who he wants them to instead of who they want to.

Vince McMahon acts like overgrown child with his stupid vision and ideas, and by the same token wrestling fans are as well. However, at least those wrestling fans have their heads screwed on right for the most part, unlike the old man.

As a fan, I didn't become interested in professional wrestling to understand what benefits the wrestling business and what draws. I don't care. If I wanted to care about business, I'd go to community college to learn how to become an entrepreneur - which I am not even remotely interested in, might I add.

I believe Vince would change stories for fans, and I assume he does. What I don't expect Vince to do is adjust stories for disrespectful fans that go to an event planning to chant "this is boring", or "this is awful". Independent wrestling is extremely accessible now online, and there are other promotions you can watch. If fans step up and support, like with the sold out Rhodes show, they will grow.
@Xehanort106 жыл бұрын
They don't go to arenas planning to chant that. They go expecting a good show then when it becomes obvious that WWE can't put on a good show to save their lives anymore that's when they start chanting stuff like that.

So Solomonster admits that the Roman Reigns experiment is working? 😁
@willhallmimistries6 жыл бұрын
Yes he's stubborn but the reason why is because he has no competition,such as during the Monday night wars. Vince wouldn't of pushed a superstar like he's doing with Roman reigns, because if he did, maybe WCW would still be in business. There are no alternatives. Yes, you have New Japan and roh, but they don't have the marketing, sponsors, and ability to travel worldwide, such as how WWE does. I really think that this All in event selling out maybe has caught Vince attention, and maybe it will send him a message that if there was an alternative, then WWE fans would jump ship quickly. But as long as he has a monopoly, and until maybe New Japan really starts to tour across the entire USA,then we are stuck with WWE and Roman reigns

Even five years ago. And the numbers continue to fall. I think it just points to wrestling being a smaller and smaller part of what that company is. Not sure what the hell else they're doing, but the wrestling sure as hell isn't what's bringing them the money.

I wouldn't. Just look at SD last week. The fans talked about how Rusev needs to be pushed and how they're burying him yet the moment he got his win they all started to complain about it and how D.Bryan deserved it more! Thre fans don't know what they want and you want the chairman to make his desicion based on their opinions? The company won't last 3 weeks.
@merriemelodiesfan74256 жыл бұрын
بدر عماد To be fair, those fans probably aren't the same fans who are complaining about Daniel Bryan. The plain fact is that there is never going to be a meeting of minds with WWE (or anything in general).
@merriemelodiesfan74256 жыл бұрын
SP Brazy Because there is never a meeting of minds with anything subjective. For instance, some people prefer pizza over burgers and vice versa. Some prefer Pepsi over Coca-Cola and versa. Then there are some people who prefer waffles over pancakes and vice versa. I don't think there will ever be a situation in which people have the same opinions or ideas when it appertains to WWE unless it involves death.
@merriemelodiesfan74256 жыл бұрын
SP Brazy Nah. I don't think I'm entitled. I just think WWE is just too dumbed down these days.
@merriemelodiesfan74256 жыл бұрын
SP Brazy Fair enough. Personally, I think WWE is just shallow about everything creativity-wise because their primary concern is business and I truly believe that is the primary reason why everything is all over the place and the hardcore/passionate fanbase is very "entitled" as you described it. Besides, I doubt many people fell in love with professional wrestling to talk about business ethnics and of that nature.
