Does Wave Race Blue Storm (GameCube) Hold Up in 2020?

It absolutely holds up. I still play it a few times a year. I love the bright, colorful graphics and music, and the racing is addictive, especially once you get a handle on how the jet ski responds to the water.

Nintendo really needs to jump on a new wave race

Wave Race and Pilotwings are 2 franchises that are really under-utilized. I believe modern takes on them would do pretty well for casual gamers young and older. I'd like to see a more realistically stylized rendition of Pilotwings. With modern technology they could make a really amazing Wave Race. I know they're not Nintendo's flagship series' like Mario and Zelda but they really shouldn't sleep on it

Your right, this game does punish you for making a mistake and the controls are herky jerky but still I would say it`s way better than Aqua Moto or Riptide hands down. If anybody knows of a new jet ski game that`s as good or better than Wave Race let us know please

good video but you are incorrect on one point -- in fact there are 2 unlockable courses, unlocked by beating the last two difficulties.

Nice video. I played wave race 64, but never this one. Just looking at the video they are very similar, even the music. Now I need to find some emulator to play it.
