Does Your Jeep Gladiator have Wireless CarPlay Capability

I bought a 2021 Gladiator today. The sales guy was very knowledgeable. Wireless CarPlay is not currently available on UConnect. However, he did say that wireless is coming soon as an add-on install.

7:05 It says Uconnect 3 5 inch screen. That's a standard feature, but you have the 7 inch screen which is uconnect 4 as an upgrade under "OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT (May Replace Standard Equipment)"

A week after I got my JT with the 7" uconnect screen I ordered a CPLAY2AIR adapter.. Its been working flawlessly since I received it. I mounted it with some double sided tape in the center console & havent plugged my iPhone in since.

I have carplay2air, on my second device and same problem, it lock up every 10 mins, requires me to unplug it and re-plug it all the time, navigation via Waze gets really delayed, about 200m delay on map

I have uconnect 4C and a Google search 4 vs 4C said one of the features of 4C is wireless communication. I will check it out on mine.

my next question do you have to do all that every time you connect you phone? That was news to me so I will have to try it. right now it is simple plug in my phone and I am connected. I don't have to look for settings on my phone or anything else. Thanks for the tip.

there is no 5. 3 is the base from the 5" screens. 4 is the 7" screen and 4c is the 8.4 screens. No one has wireless carplay.

Go to the screen you were on at 5:30 in the video press the media icon at lower left hand side of screen then select source select then press Bluetooth you should be good to go👍🏽hope this helps let me know thanks.

I have it in my LE. I'm able to get calla/make calls/ get text messages via spelled out or in a voice message. i can also sent text messages

That's just bluetooth connectivity to your phone. The video is regarding bluetooth connectivity for Apple Carplay.

I don't have an I-Phone, Android for me. But. I saw that there are plenty of after market Car Play Bluetooth gadgets on line....some a bit pricey. Good luck. BTW, I don't mind the cords...I even have my Garmin GPS "corded" when in use, LOL!

I honestly don't know. I have the 8.4 Uconnect. I have Android. I'm only 29 so you would think I'd know this stuff lol. I just use the radio, bluetooth, and sometimes navigation. I'm not the most tech savvy millennial haha. My sister usually shows me how to do this stuff.

TAP MEDIA Connect Blue Tooth to Phone. Open Your Music/Audio App on the Device press play.. (Its not remoted by wire to console) Starting the App Manually and you Tapped Media and Bluetooth you now can use the steering wheel.. Nav Audio (if running on said device) and everything else will still play over audio.. OIIIIIIIO You wont screen cast with out an 8.4 and a jailbreak and maybe will neeeeed a cable for that
