The reason that faceshells became a thing was because the Tobey Spiderman used them because Tobey has a butt ugly face shape when under the mask and needed a face shell to hide the fact.

I have never used a faceshell with my Spider-Man mask, it looks pretty good (I may just be blessed with a good Spider-Man head shape) and it's way easier to remove the mask. You can also roll up the mask to drink or eat, fold up the mask and put it in your pocket when you aren't wearing it (since there's no shell), or even wear the mask like a beanie hat (like the bus scene in Infinity War). Basically, in my opinion a mask without a faceshell is far more versatile and convenient.

For all those who cant wear contacts 😅 I guess it depends on the shape of the shell...i have a sith eradicator mask, where all my glasses fit...sometimes it hurts a bit because its narrow, but smaller glasses are no problem 😁

Good question. I think perscription sports lenses or something like that may be the best solution but not sure how espensine or if its truly ideal. Let me know if you find a solution that works for you and ill ask around

Personally I prefer attached lenses with a detached mask. Just seems a bit more realistic. If you were actually spiderman i dony think he has time to put on a faceshell and put the lenses on. I mean it looks better yes but for me I use a mesh lower half mask so it still shows mouth/ jaw movement inside the mask, and doesn't suck to my face and show my lips and my huge nose 😅

Sorry for the late reply. Generally I recommend attached mask for a homecoming costume cause in the movie it appears so seamless. It will look a lot more like the suit in the films if its all one piece. Having said that I really like detachable mask suits cause its nice to be able to remove the mask and still wear the costume around. I always use detachable mask for my classic comic style suits but my homecoming suit is all one piece. Hope that helps.
