I wasn’t surprised that they announced it at the time they did because of everything that happened & the fact that Jesy’s live with Nicki and what happened there too it did make sense with all the negativity that came with it & how the fandom was still so split. Also the fact that Leigh-Anne & Perrie were pregnant & they also recently gave birth it completely makes sense they’re doing it right now right before performing the between us song. If anyone have paid attention to their socials then no one can be surprised it was coming right now & not right before the tour or after the tour.

To give my personal input, I turned 28 a few months ago and I came to several realizations over these months (as well as many realizations before, especially during the pandemic). I am about the same age as the girls. I realized how many things I have never experienced but REALLY REALLY wanted to experience. My 20s are almost over and I devoted a lot of time to fields I am familiar with but there was so much more I could have done or wanted to do and that what I went through had its disappointments. I anticipated there would be disappointments but not in the ways I expected. I know that if I took another direction, I would probably still be in the same mindset but I also realized my limits and realities. I can totally imagine each of the members of Little Mix felt the same. I feel that there comes a time to really consider what you want and expect and that time is ticking. Edit: I split the comment to give others some of my perspective at this age.

You guys made a lot of good points. I really really hope they aren’t done for good. I found Little Mix when I was in a really dark place and they’ve helped me through it and I’m still kinda not in a good spot and they’re just gonna be gone I guess. Just something about the three of them (formerly 4) all makin music, performing, interviewing, and just everything together made me so happy. I personally don’t think they’re done for good. Jade especially seems like she wasn’t so sure about the decision. I think that they could possibly come back in a year or so but not be as intense as it has been the last 10 years. They could still do solo music and stuff but still be together in a group. Also in the between us performance on Graham Norton at the end of the interview jade said something about “a few more things planned for the rest of this year” that’s not an exact quote but she said something similar. What do you guys think that means? I don’t think she’d say they have something without a plan.

I think she was referring to the youtube doc type thing and maybe some other small things like that.

37:16 Perrie said that little mix don’t work as a 3 when jade was isolating and missed an episode of the search and also said that they’re all over the place when someone is missing so when Jesy left I knew they wouldn’t carry on for too long

I can't agree more with you guys. It's so refreshing to hear this perspective of other people out of the Fandom. Something I really don't get is, that now everybody is so exited for new things and happy for them.. like nobody's saying something really bad, except that they are sad. It seems so different to the situation with jesy. She was claimed to be selfish, but the girls now focusing on their own things is not being seen as selfish. And jesy didn't even said she was leaving the group to focus on her own stuff, she wanted to focus on her health. Idk what I should think about the whole situation to be honest. But I don't like the toxic vibe that everybody needs to praise them for every thing they do... sometimes a little bit self reflection helps :)

Yeah definitely agree with the Jesy leaving thing. The group was strong because ALL FOUR brought something to the table. There was a reason they got put together as 4 person group. With all do respect for triomix, once Jesy left, they balance shifted and I knew it wouldn't be long before they went on a hiatus. Littlemix started as 4, it should've ended as 4. Not only that but the whole, they seem happier as a trio always bothered me. Esp when one of them said that they agreed to not hug their husbands/boyfriends first but hug each other first if they win an award. Why would you need to agree to something that? They've alway hugged each other first from what I remember, ever since then I've been fishy about the relationship between them. It got worse when the between us video came out. Imo they tried a little too hard to come across happier as a trio. I will support them as individuals, but I'm still suspicious about their actual relationship.

My fear of a break increased when I wasn't seeing them together outside of work (touring, concerts), like they just don't hang out casually. When Covid happened and I watched their live streams and later every performance, everything seemed forced. That's when I knew they will come to an end.

People need to remember they have been proving people wrong from day 1 and have continued to do so throughout their careers. They’re different to other groups and I think I believe them when they say they’ll be back. (Whether it be full or part time.) They have broken and set so many records and whilst I think the girls will have their own solo successes, they will never out do Little Mix and I think they know that. They’ve spent their entire 20’s devoted to the group and as humans it’s so important to branch out and try different things. I wish they were a bit more transparent about their plans but as proven we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. I think Perrie checked out a while ago but was sticking around for the other girls. The way she’s been speaking recently makes me think that. Leighade love Little Mix and are arguably the driving forces behind the group.

Really nice pocast, thank you both for that! I'm actually one of the "new fan" since I've discovered them pretty recently but I actually completely agree with both of you. I did a lot of research too. I've watched so many videos and as a recent fan, I can still clearly see the difference between the Confetti era and the others eras. It is definitely obvious that they were not as engaged as they used to be. I do feel that it couldn't really go any other way though after 10 years and one member down. So yeah, to me too this is the end of 100% Little Mix but I'm so glad I have found 10 years of amazing content that I can watch whenever I need it.

Yeah. I have been a fan since 2013. I will say that I became a more "devoted" fan over time. You could see that they were winding down over time. Confetti had some high points but was coming to a lackluster level. The writing on the wall appeared slowly but it was apparent.

You guys should make a public playlist of little mix’s hidden or less known videos! It’ll be really enjoyable. Thanks for the amazing content you’ve made and this podcast!

I’ve not listened to the podcast yet but I’m going to leave a comment with my opinions. So well, most of us already saw this coming as I think it was pretty obvious, especially with how they were dodging the question in the latest interviews. I honestly couldn’t be happier, I love them so much as a group but it’s really been long and I’m just incredibly excited to hear what they can all bring to the table individually. I love them all equally but Leigh has always been closest to me for various reasons so I’m mostly very curious to hear her solo music’ especially after hearing her sing in Boxing Day. But I think Jade is going to leave us speechless, I think she has great potential. And imma need Perrie to serve us big big vocals, I really need a nice ballad from her. But yeah, overall I’m excited for this hiatus and I hope they can recharge their energy and hopefully return back, if they want to!! EDIT: oh, I absolutely agree with you. I don’t think Little Mix as a group is coming back full time😂they’ll probably do something like Destiny’s Child though.

Hey there, I remember what you said in the last podcast. I was not too surprised. I will add that I think the media toyed too much with the idea of them either splitting or going on hiatus so they felt it best to address it. I agree with you. I think that Little Mix, album after album is done, at least for a while. Of things they were thinking about, quality time with significant others was one, having children was probably one of them, trying new projects was there too, and getting to decide your own schedule was another. The reality is "nothing lasts forever" and "nothing gold can stay". The writing on the wall appeared gradually but nevertheless the pandemic contributed to it. But I will say that we really cannot predict the future. I am a cautious optimist.

Queen! You know what video I would love to see. Lol Idk if you watched the at home documentary and that clip where leigh and jade try to sing perries High note in secret love song? (I also saw jade mention how she can't do that same note in another interview) also that clip is circling tik tok. But u can't tell me the girls havent hit a note like that, that's just as high or am I crazy. It would be cool if you put together a compilation of jade and leigh hitting the same kind of note in different songs. Cause I swear they can and have! Okay I'm done lol
@doesitmatter_YT2 жыл бұрын
From what I recall, I believe Perrie's note in sls on the lm5 tour is an e5 peak and a sustained b4. Leighade are perfectly capable of hitting those notes and have many times. E5 for leighade seems to be the very top of their "comfortable" belting range without lip syncing which is why I think they make comments like that. Of course they're capable of going higher than e5 live without lipping and have done so multiple times over the years but it's significantly less often than Perrie. Leighade both support b4 and it's a common belt for them. They don't sustain b4s for as long as Perrie does in sls but that would be a matter of breath control rather than range.
