1 day later; Kingdom Valley has been shown in Shadow Generations gameplay. Meaning... Mephilis has potential to show up, and dang am I hopin for it. Mephilis is easily top 3 villains in Sonic history.

My personal headcannon is that because Eggman was trying to destroy Sonic throughout time, it also erased the moment that he and Elise blew out the flame of Solaris, so the Solaris Project continued and, eventually, resulted in the end of the world and the creation of Crisis City It was probably not intended to be the case at all, but its interesting to think about

Well for one, just because the Solaris's flame was blown out and all the events were erased in the main timeline, doesn't mean Mephiles can't exist in an alternate timeline. That, or like Ian Flynn said, a small portion of Mephiles could've survived and crept away into a pocket dimension not effected by time, and then re-immerged as the time eater. Who knows. But I would lose my mind if Mephiles was not only the big bad of SxSG, but also secretly the one behind the time eater.

Sonic remembers the events of 06 as shown in the Japanese version of team Sonic racing when interacting with silver and blaze remembers 06 as she said that she didn't think she'd be in crisis city again so 06 is still canon and it still happened, Like Sonic prime still happened since both sonic and shadow remembers it even tho it wipes itself out of the timeline

If mephilies does come to the game, it's likely he would be a rival boss. Not so much of a big boss (because sega harderly listens to their fans) it's quite like sonic gen, when you have the option to fight metal sonic as classic soinc in rival boss. I'm also sure that Solaris would be a part of the game as one of the big boss after the kingdom valley stage.

Well Sonic fought Silver in the original Generations, & Crisis City is there so.. Not to mention Shadow goes through Kingdom Valley in the new Generations and that was erased too so anything is possible with Mephiles.

Silver, Crisis City, Kingdom Valley and Soleanna in general are characters & locations that exist in Sonic's world. Like Sonic can still go to Soleanna(And Kingdom Valley within it) in the present & Silver's Crisis City(Not destroyed & fiery) in his future timeline still exists. But theoretically, not only Crisis City in Generations shouldn't be a fiery dystopia, same with Mephiles. Who was erased from all timeline in the past, present & future. So while the Time eater's time travel Shenanigans can have Sonic & Shadow at old locations from past games at different times.(Even Kingdom Valley, Soleanna & Crisis City, when it's not fiery) But Mephiles shouldn't be able to come back, no matter how much time is being messed with.

@@devengauna2003 this is such a cop out answer. Why is Shadow visiting a place in a game where he revisits all the other places he’s been. Why would he go there if they aren’t putting places (crisis city) and people (Mephiles) in a game where he revisits past events??? If kingdom valley can be there, so can Mephiles. Not to mention, if 06 didn’t happen Iblis wouldn’t even exist for it to have destroyed Crisis City yet it’s in generations on two separate occasions.

I think it’s also noteworthy that Bad Future Stardust Speedway is in Generations even though the bad future timeline doesn’t exist

The Time eater isn’t in shadow generations black doom is believed to be the main villain of that campaign however I do believe that black doom could bring back mephlis considering he did bring back the biolizard

The time eater brought back both Black Doom and The Biolisard. The time eater was in the trailer.

@@SilversEmporiumofGaming exactly. That was in game footage of the time eater in Shadow Generations there. They easily could have pulled from the Sonic Generations opening or smth if he wasnt. If Black Doom, Emerl and Biolizard can be a thing again, idk why Mephiles can't. And since they specifically chose Kingdom Valley, the stage where he first manifested in Shadows story. It's only a matter of time atp.

Well i agree with theory on mephlise returning cause the time eater can destroy time but it can recreat it in certain events and do to mephlise being a creature that exists outside or inside of time then yes he would be a part of shadows history and sonic x shadow generation
