Shadow has many enemies. The Biolizard, Black Doom, Mephiles, Infinite, but his greatest enemy of all is... the grappling hook. Kind of an issue if he's going to cosplay as Batman.

I always felt that Forces could've worked more as a Shadow solo game. Not only are the colors red, black, and white constantly shown (mainly in menus and the results screen) but it's also because of Shadow that Infinite even exists. Infinite should have a vendetta against Shadow yet seemingly forgets him after one encounter (which he doesn't even really fight Shadow but instead just toys with his mind). Could easily scrap the whole power of teamwork nonsense and even scrap Classic Sonic and just have Shadow, Omega, and Rouge as the main characters agaisnt Eggman and Infinite. Sonic could still "die" and simply be locked up till end game and used as an unlockable like Shadow was in the base game as DLC.

Honestly, this just makes me wonder why shadow couldn’t just be playable in all of sonics stages. I know that he is excluded from some levels because they have in-game cutscenes, but I see no reason why they couldn’t just slap shadows model over Sonic and turn off the dialogue. I think it would’ve worked just fine. Or hell, why not Sweden the pot a little bit and have shadow be playable in any avatar or classic sonic stage where you can beat the level as him (although if that was an actual feature game, I would expect them to make some minor adjustments to the level to make it a little more playable, even if that’s just as simple as putting a spring, some points to substitute the grappling hook)

I think this game would be so much more interesting if it was a Sonic and Shadow game, instead of classic Sonic. Them working together. as they're like brothers. So in the early game, Shadow is trying to save Sonic - interesting dynamic.

It would be cool if you gave Archie Shadow a read. (Just to warn you, pre Archie Sonic reboot, Shadow won’t be entirely accurate to main series Shadow. So it’s best to enjoy him as his own thing. But it’s not super different.) (Also Ian Flynn’s Shadow is when the ball gets rolling for the character, as previous writers weren’t sure what direction to take him, but those previous stories do have some influence on how Ian writes Shadow.)

At least if you find a guide of what Shadow related issues there are, or just read the Shadow issues from Sonic Universe and the one where he learns his true purpose. There really isn’t that much to Archie Shadow as he really was mostly used in Ian’s run. (Which started at issue 160) I think the hardest part is reading these stories legally without going to any archival websites like the Internet Archive if they have any. And I wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to read the other parts of Archie to have more context to anything. The first Shadow story in Sonic Universe continues off of the final issue of Archie Sonic X, which that continues off of the King Scourge arc from the main books. Even if they aren’t important to the Shadow stories in Sonic Universe.

Well i currently dislike sonic forces because the levels are boring with excessive automation and almost no alternative paths and when there are there’s no rewards for going on them and the story’s pretty bland like it saying sonic was tortured for months despite him being just fine and most characters like tails being absolutely terrible as a character like him cowering in fear at chaos 0 when his entire adventure story arc was about him being a braver hero in his own and he fought chaos 4 so to me the game is just kinda dumb, although I really like making the avatar character

Holy crap it's really annoying to see how many stages are unbeatable with modern so- I mean Shadow™ just because of all the crashes from animations that don't work Normally I'd ask if you could just model-swap Shadow with the Avatar and maaaybe Classic Sonic while still keeping their movesets but since that defeats the entire purpose of the challenge I'm calling this an absolute bust. @@sonicsupremacist Great, thanks! Allow me to tell you about the game a little bit; it's basically Mario 64 if it was Sonic. Smooth gameplay, cool new things, and 8 different Acts (i think). The mod that adds Shadow gives him 2 directional teleports and a homing attack after, which is useful in traversing through horizontal terrain. P.S. There are 2 coins hidden in each level that allow you to play one Chaos Emerald minigame each. Try to get them all!
