I love books also. I have a built-in china cabinet in my breakfast room and the upper cabinets have glass doors. I display my Autumn Leaf dish collection, vintage tin collection, some of the baskets from the collection I started in the 1970s, and part of my teapot collection in the upper cabinets. The lower cabinets have solid wood cabinets so they store large serving pieces and bottles of booze for guests. On the counter part I have a cast-iron wine rack with rolled up placemats instead of wine bottles, an easel displaying a cookbook, a stack of my prized antique mixing bows, a double index roll top card holder for recipes spanning over 52 years of marriage, and a ceramic Christmas tree. Cook books are in/on all three sections. It is about ten feet long and I love it. I have a more formal one in my dining room so I moved my china cabinet to the living room and display Asian collectibles in it.

Nice cookbooks Julie… I like using a cookbook but I also use Pinterest. I find every-time I’m on Pinterest I save at least 3 new recipes. I must have over 500.😂😂 I have printed a lot of my favourites and I’m going to make myself a cookbook binder. Thank you for taking us along. God bless!

I like recipe cards the best. But yes, in print is best, although I get many off Pinterest, but many times, once I make a recipe, if I like it, I will write it out on a card

I was lucky today my husband took me shopping for me to spend whatever I’d like on some birthday present for myself 🎁 back in November 19. We just been so busy so we went to an antique store that you probably know of. It’s in the Heights of Houston, Texas on 19th St. And I end up buying two plates a little shelf some really cute socks. There was something else I can’t remember. I think I bought four items maybe that was two plates the shelf and some socks, but I’m happy with what I bought today..

I have the Nestles cookie cookbook and I make many of the cookie recipes every year around this time AND Taste of Home recipes are far superior over Pinterest recipes. I happen to have a bit newer version of the Taste of Home cookbook too. I kept hearing Kelsey’s voice during this vlog as saying “those aren’t very friendly yard sale prices”…I think I will NEVER forget that comment of hers!!!:):) j
