Great video - thank you. I'm just on the verge of replacing my Next Level Racing V3 motion platform which I've been using for over 5 years with this DOF H3. However I'm a little nervous that I might be downgrading on road sensitivity. Could you please let me know if you can feel the road surface through your seat (and not just through the steering wheel FFB). I know I can with my V3, every rumblestrip and kerb. I would love to know your thoughts before I commit. I will be playing in VR... Cheers!

Thanks! I'll have a test tomorrow and let you know my thoughts on it. I'll turn off FFB to see what can be felt through the H3!

@@Driviest Good man! I look forward to your results. I wonder if there is that continuous minimal hum of being in contact with tarmac. And if you try a rally stage or two in your preferred game version, can you feel the difference in say gravel surface as opposed to muddy or rocky or grass or whatever surface options you get (I haven't played Dirt Rally for ages so can't remember the options...!) Thank you.

I have had a play with Assetto Corsa and WRC. They both had completely different feels, with WRC being much more pronounced, despite having the same Race Sim Studio settings. I can definitely feel the different surfaces in both games but maybe WRC has better telemetry support because it's a lot sharper. I couldn't find rumble strips in WRC but you could feel it immediately when you go off the road or clip the kerb. I could feel the kerbs in Assetto Corsa but not the rumble strips - my suspicion is that the rumble strips in the Kunos tracks in AC don't send telemetry data. I will have a try in Competizione tomorrow because that's a much newer game. One thing I noticed was that I can feel gear changes, which I thought I needed a butt kicker for. I'm planning to get a butt kicker anyway because I think that's what's supposed to handle the vibrations and gear changes. If you can hang on a couple more days, I will do some more testing!

@@Driviest Thank you so much for your time spent on this Driviest... If you play AMS2 I would be interested in how you think their telemetry feeds through into the H3, as of all the driving games I play, I always felt that their feedback was the weakest. Again if you can test this with your steering FFB disengaged, that would really isolate the performance of the H3 platform alone. ACC test most welcome too! In other news, Next Level have just informed me that my V3 platform is out of warranty (which I knew) and too old to be repaired by them (due to a lack of old parts and newer V3 models having different better components) so they are offering me a new platform at a discount. This info has just made my purchase of the H3 that much closer. Do you still have an affiliate link that I can use? How much would your discount be? Thanks again!

I tried ACC and I can feel the rumble strips! I didn't realise how flexible the settings are and I have didn't have the vertical heave turned up. I did turn it up but there's no way you could have this on anywhere near maximum because it's so strong! Unfortunately I haven't got AMS2 :( It's hard for me to recommend one from the other because I don't know what the NLR V3 feels like. I had a look on their website and it looks like the V3 sits under your seat and moves your seat, whereas the H3 move everything. Is that what your current one does? If so, they are quite a bit different in that sense because I like how the H3 moves the wheel, pedals, seat all the same, simulating how the whole car move would move around, rather than just the seat. I do have an affiliate link in the video description but I don't have a code :(. The link just helps me with DOF, so if you do decide to go for the H3, it would be really helpful if you could click on it before ordering. If you do get it, give me a shout because I can help with settings from what I have learned!

What did it cost import vat wise as there is little to no info out there, and what size bolts did you use to mount accessories
@Driviest13 күн бұрын
Hi. It was 20% via DHL for the UK. All the bolts come with it for accessories ordered but all the holes are M8 and so I used left over bolts from my aluminium stands for the extra bits I've added, like the iFlag and larger gear shifter base.

Nice one, thanks for the info, I might take the plunge

If you decide to go for it, it would be much appreciated if you could please use my link in the description before ordering, so that DOF can see that you watched my video 😀

Im been thinkin of taking the plunge for the H3 now for about 6 months, think you have convinced me. Would you consider mounting your screens to the rig also so they move also?
@DriviestАй бұрын
It's a lot of fun! Now that I've been playing around with it I realised you can turn up/down the settings in the app it comes with. I haven't put them up to max yet but high enough where I'm actually scared when I'm about to crash! I would consider mounting my screens but I think they are too big with all three of them. If I had one screen or three 27" or 32" screens then I definitely would. Let me know if you get one and what you think of it!

Hi. I've just got a link from DOF Reality and if you do decide to go for the H3, if you could click on the link in the video description before you order, that would really help me out. Thanks!
