Dog aggression and reactivity don't just come out of nowhere. Aggression and reactivity have a starting point, kind of like the bottom of an escalator. Our responsibility is to help our dogs get off the escalator before they reach the top and engage in behaviors like barking, lunging, and growling.
We can achieve this by understanding our dog's triggers, recognizing their "tells", and supporting them through situations that they find challenging.

i am taking care of a dog, young about a year old...my dogs are all calm and get along pretty good no aggression however, when the new girl came trouble started. She is aggressive territorial behavior... She respects me because i am the alpha...as the other dogs but she want to take the second best place...several times she attack my other dogs, and i am working with her.. Immediately i see her body language i give the sound to stop and she moves away, two times she does that and in seconds she goes back and attack her half brother or my other rescue dog. work in progress, some other issues but she is a sweet heart...

Bringing in a new dog to any group can cause problems. Leave a leash on her in the house. When you see her "step on the escalator" casually pick up the leash and bring her to a time-out location. You need to be the CEO, the upper management and give her (and her brain) the necessary feedback regarding what behaviors work and which ones do not. Any form of pre-aggression will not "work" for her. Good luck.

@@EverythingDog i really appreciate ur feedback...the dog is just a year old so need a lot of structure...i am the alpha and the other dogs know that but she is new and she must learn her place inside the pack..leash won't work...6 dogs in a room is not an easy task to get up and grab the leash..specially if an episode just happen. What is working is me keeping an eye and as soon as i see her changing her body language (no tail so it is harder to spot reacting) i correct with sound and comand to go and lay down in another spot of the room...ahhh kids never stop getting into trouble right?
