Watching this video and your other videos had literally saved me so much struggle! I'm a self-taught and just grooming my own dog, and I've severely been struggling with clipping her! I have disabilities that make the grooming process even harder, and it's literally been taking me 4 hours every time I clip my maltese x shih-tzu, which has been so exhausting for both of us!!! 😖 Now I know that I don't need to be so detailed with the clippers, and that I just need to buy some blending shears to just smooth out the uneven clipping. This is going to save me SO MUCH time and stress!!! THANK YOU from both me and my dog!!! 💜

Amy, this video came at exactly the right time. I just got a pair of Chunkers for Squirt's next grooming. I will also be trying a Joyzze ceramic coated blade. ❤❤❤

I’m in grooming school right now and watch your videos all the time. I absolutely love them and they’ve been so helpful as I am learning the skills and improving my techniques. I’m left-handed so trying to learn how to use my shears has been a little challenging with all right handed instructors. It’s also been much harder for me to find options for left-handed shears. There don’t seem to be many on the market at least that I’ve been able to find. Do you have any advice for lefty groomers especially relating to shears?

I am looking to start home grooming my mini bernedoodle and had a question. Is there a difference between budget scissors and shears vs the ones that you utilize? I'm shocked by the prices of the ones in the video and assume that those are the best quality scissors one could buy, but would someone be able to tell the difference between these and something from any other store for 75% less price?

Great video as always. What type of breed was the last dog? I have your straight, curved and chunker shears. Best scissors out there!

Okay so, I have a new Shih Tzu puppy so which scissor do I need to purchase. I’m not interested in becoming a professional dog groomer. I just want to learn how to maintain my dog’s coat between her professional groom. She gets groomed every 6 to 8 weeks.

I don’t recommend the you use blending shears if you’re not practicing Grooming regularly. They can be dangerous but for a Shih Tzu I would suggest my Sapphire blend shear.

Shears freak me out. I know you are a pro but I'm not sure amateurs should be using these like you are... I'm sure they will cut the dog... especially the ears. Anytime I take my pup to the groomers, I always tell them to be care with my dogs ears... as it freaks me out how easy it is to make a mistake... plus I hear about horror stories about some groomers cutting off small dog ears. I have a Maltese. Do you have a video on the proper use of shears? Thanks... love your videos. :)

We were all amateurs when we started. I don’t recommend beginners use blending shears until they are very comfortable and confident with straight shears. That has always been my recommendation for my channel viewers.
