Jason, you're in white, and the other guy is in black. I assume, prior to the Uchi Mata when both people are what I call 'high altitude' that White has the better position (given the underhook). While Black can Uchi Mata, White can sit down and prevent it. I ask because it seems pretty 'even.' Just as you went for the arm pick, I thought what you later said: The other guy could go for the arm pick as well. Meanwhile, I assume White has an easier time going for Guillotine than Black does. Is it easy for White to slip out the leg to enter a Guillotine? Is that a fight as well?

Hey, yes...white (me) can definitely attack for a guillotine. However if I don't focus on my position well even with an underhook my opponent (in black) can also attack for a guillotine. The dog fight is a situation that can be very advantageous for the bottom person (me in the white), but if my position is not controlled well then my opponent actually has good attacking options as well against me.

Grapplers Guide Opponent having a Guillotine option too? Dang. Very interesting. I think this position needs to transition from "something like a Guard" in my head to "Something like a clinch". Opponent has too many options
