Step 1 : Book 1st class tickets (coupe if 2 people travelling)
Step 2 : Drop an application to the Reservation Officer of IRCC asking to allot you a coupe mentioning PNR, Passenger details and reason your pet should accompany you inside the berth.(one day prior to travel)
Step 3 : Get a challan from the Parcel and Baggage office on the day of travel.(Rs100 per KG rate)

The vet checkup will be at the AQCS office. Take an appointment before hand by emailing the AQCS officer. If you are landing late night take an appointment for the next day morning. Our situation was also the same.

Hi Sudhan. If you are staying for 2years it won't be considered as a short term stay. More details you can get my emailing the aqcs officer. Private agencies will charge you around 17000/-20000/-. Hi, my dog born here in Canada, do I need to apply for DGFT license? and also mine is Bichon medium size dog. I see in Air Canada/Lufthansa pet carrier dimensions ,it says dog needs to walk freely in the pet carrier. so with that reason I booked the Cargo hold. what are my chances of me getting my dog in the cabin? can I book Cabin as well if the didn't allow will switch to cargo hold is that even possible?

Thank you so much for your appreciation ❤️ To answer your question, after landing there will be a physical inspection by the AQCS officer, after which you will be handed over a hard copy of the import certificate. Whether your dog needs to be quarantined or not will be decided by the officer himself. But if your dog is healthy and has all the required vaccines there will not be any quarantine required. In our case it was reimport as Oreo is basically from India. So we didn't require any DGFT license. And it was a short travel for us.

I am taking my puppy to india for 2 months and i will return back with my puppy m to canada. The origin of my puppy is canada, i have afopted him from canada. So in that case same documents will be required ? Since my flight is for 6th july from winnipeg to delhi. I am live in a fly-in community in manitoba therefore i have to plan everything accordingly. My last working day is 28 june. So what do you suggest. Like keeping that 7 days in mind .. like all the documents should be sended to aqcs for noc before 7 days of my flight ? And all the documents should be signed and attested before 10 days of my flight? Like everything should happen before 10 days within my flight So my real confusion is ( this is hectic for me because i live 15 hours away from winnipeg) .. is it possible if, i can get all the documents ready before hand like a month before and get it signed by the vet and get attested a month before ? Will it be valid or no.. it should be signed and attested before 10 days only

The process is quite similar for me but can you tell me if the Annexure 1.1.1( in my case 2.1.1) was signed and stamped by both the licensed vet AND CFIA? We fed Oreo before the flight also there's pet relief in Toronto airport so we let him pee before the flight. There's no need to feed your dog inside the flight! And we gave very little water with syringe drop by drop !

Hi Disha. We did not had to go through any quarantine process. It is only required if your dog is not fit enough or having difficulties in acclimatizing.

So, I was told my pet needs to have 2 rabies shots and 2 DAPPL shots in the last two years. The most recent shots shouldn’t be older than 12 months. The CFIA only attests the AQCS docs and health certificate. If you have an appointment you can get those attested in a day.

Yes he checked my dog by touching him physically. He basically checked his ears eyes paws. Like a basic check actually. But I will suggest you when you will be communicating with the aqcs officer prior to your visit via email let him know your situation. Hi thank you for the video, in my case I came with my dog from India to US 2 months ago and I decided to move back to India permanently and my dog is India origin only. Will my previously issued export certificate from Aqcs is fine or I should apply for any other licenses as well? Because actually I have a KCI certificate as well for my dog. Hi Vinod. Procedures vary from country to country ! As per my understanding you can easily go back to India without any extra License as per the reimport category. For the safer side email the AQCS officer for the procedure.

I do have some questions- I cant seem to find all the forms you filled out, could you please provide me with the link? I am traveling with my 1 year 6 months old cat. He was born in Canada and this will be his trip that too overseas. So as per your video and my understanding I still follow all the steps you mentioned and get all the forms filled and submitted to the AQCS officer. There is no difference if you got the pet from india originally and if you are taking a canada born pet to india, in both the cases the documentation is the same right ? Also did you do anything specific upon your return to canada? Because i will be returning after 2.5 months and just want to be sure about all the paperwork and not getting stuck. Hi, I am moving with my pet to India under baggage rule. I will be staying longer than 6 months, so I understand that DGFT license is not required. I have stayed in Canada for more than 2 years and I have my PR. My question is, I am required to show proof of residency transfer but I am not planning to live in India forever, I might be going back to Canada but my pet won't come back with me, he would stay with my mom. Hey Aman. I am in touch with pet relocation service. They said 2 doses of leptos are necessary. The second dose of leptos should be 30 days prior to the departure date. I had to reschedule my flight but there was no other option.

Hey! What was the procedure for coming back to Canada? Did you need any “export of animal” documents from India?

Yes Export certificate is required. You will have to submit fitness certificate, vaccination certificates, microchip certificate and a passport size phto of your dog to the AQCS officer. And ask for a physical inspection appointment 3days prior to your flight. On the physical inspection day AQCS officer will issue an export certificate! If anything else is needed the officer will ask for that in the email.

Hi.. thanks for commenting.. as you saw in the video we did not go with any private agencies. We did the process on our own. But if you want to contact any private agencies you can contact Furry Flyers ([phone]). They are Mumbai based company and quite good at their service. We took their help first time when we came to Canada. And if you do not want to pay extra to private companies contact AQCS directly by emailing them. They are very prompt with their answers. So AQCS is under the impression that your dog is from India, travelled to Canada now again traveling to India. Like our case. In this scenario AQCS gives export certificate while travelling to Canada. You need to let them know that your dog is from Canada.

Sure. I am glad this video helped you. For bringing back your dog in Canada you would need the below : 1. Microchip and microchip certificate 2. Vaccination book updated 3. Fit to fly certificate 4. Phto 5. Export certificate issued by AQCS(for that you need to email the respective aqcs officer, follow the suggested guidelines and later before your flight take an appointment for physical inspection)

Nope physical inspection will be done in India by the AQCS Officer. After inspection he/she will be issuing you an export certificate. Carry all the documents on the day of inspection.

Thankyou soo much By any chance can you give me your dog’s dimensions and crate dimensions. I have a shihtzu too and air canada gave me dimensions 17L X 15W X 8H and i thing my dog is bigger 2-3 inches
