@@mchjsosde thank you. Shelters are full of them and so often they find themselves there because either the owner has died or they’re not wanted anymore. They become completely confused and shut down because they don’t know why they’re there. It’s noisy and scary and in their twilight years they deserve better.

@themechnictangerine your fear is justifiable and I understand completely. Today Christmas Day I have had to euthanise one of my precious dogs. She was a foster fail who came to me seven years ago. She wasn’t an old dog and she came to me, I was told she was around 3 to 4. Today I am utterly broken. I loved her so much but she gave to me far more than I could ever have given to her and for that I will always be grateful. I still have three dogs one of whom is 17 years old so I know that I will be going through what I feel today again probably sooner rather than later. But a man far more wise than I said that when we are at the party we don’t think about the hangover. Very true

Just goes to show that the shelter didn't know what they were talking about in regards to the euthanasia approach. Sure, he probably does have problems with moving and such. But clearly he's perfectly capable. He just needed a better environment so that he could get better, rather than worse.

Rudy, such a fitting name. He looks like one. Senior dogs are forever grateful. They are so very sweet. Thx for making his last years special.

Acupuncture has medical science proving it is beneficial now.

Acupuncture and medication both have been scientifically proven to help. Most doctors and vets try the natural methods first since medication can cause bad side effects and sometimes make things worse. I have fibromyalgia and my doctor didn't try anything natural first (bad american doctor), I tried multiple medications for my pain and the side effects were HORRIBLE. My new doctor told me to try acupuncture, it's the only thing that has helped me. I've tried so many medications, creams, physical therapy, and other things (physical therapy is eastern medicine btw). Everything made it worse. Acupuncture has helped me so much, it has helped many other people in the facility too. I've spoken to people that were told that they will never walk again, the doctors gave up so they tried acupuncture, now they can walk again. It helps the nervous system repair itself. It's kind of like microneedling your skin, it creates microscopic wounds which force your body to heal itself. Acupuncture does the same thing, they put needles into the largest points which helps the body heal those points.
