My father was and is an atheist. He said that I was impious, meaning I was ungrateful to his upbringing. He was also afraid of me leaving him although I didn’t go anywhere, so he forbade me from following my belief. Despite that, I stayed persistent with my choice and behaved nicely to him. I knew only kindness could change his intention. Hence, I admire Nello, for he is supported by his grandpa and his dog Patrasche. His life reflects my past journey.

What version is this? Is this only a spanish version? Because I looked up the 1997 movie and the anime from 1975 and the 1975 anime is 25 episodes but the art work looks completely different.

Im not sure maam but this become famous in Philippines around 1993 i was grade 2 by then. It is teary eyed and beautiful series. I think not just 25 ep
