Perfect - I have a cat that thinks its a dog and digs under the gate and escapes -- the rest of the yard/fence is cat and dog proof.. This will work wonderfully -- TY!

I just had a new fence installed and they had to cut the bottom of the 6 foot gate in order for it to swing open due to the slope in my backyard. I'm gonna try this out to see if I can add dirt on top of the composite decking to build up that area with the gap. We have a mini dachshund that would definitely be able to squeeze through the 6 inch gap, but hopefully this might solve that

Hello Elizabeth-It should work fine with equipment going over it. Of course it always depends on equipment weight and soil type. Place the composite boards tightly next to one another and pack it firmly with soil. The only way to know for sure it to try it.

My gap under the gate is pretty sizable. Not sure if this would be of benefit with leveling the ground under my gate.

You could install a sweep to reduce the gap. Ask your local fence company anout materials.

Two reasons: 1. I wanted to be able to remove it if I needed access to under the gate (irrigation lines, etc.) 2. I did not want to wait for it to dry (instant results)
