This little flower book is turning out so lovely. The rose is so sweet and I loved how you incorporated the lace as petals. Handmade Christmas gifts are always the best. I always appreciated them because I knew the person who made it, took the time, effort and filled the piece with lots of love specially for me! You can still record the videos Marion, just don’t release them until after the holidays, this way it wont spoil the surprise ❤❤❤

I thought everyone knew how to finger crochet a chain...🤔 it's how we were taught before we even had a crochet hook... I think it was so easy to do, that by the time you'd made yards of chain your brain and hand already had the action for using a hook.

I have only just found you the last few days so I have some more videos to catch up with. I do that mostly of an evening. Thank you Marian for taking the time to follow up on my comments. Lovely! Every bit is excellent. Your inventiveness inspires me to think in different ways. I’ve been evolving toward this for several years. Inspired, I’ve been hand-hemming flannel face cloths for myself, and will make a few for my daughter. A nice gift for birthday or xmas. I like to find thrift gifts, too. I put a little tag on the gift that says “thrifted.” I made the tags from grocery bag handles. The bags get used as gift wrap. It all makes me happy. I hope your cold fads soon. I got one on our vacation up north. My husband’s COVID test was positive. He clearly had a fever. I did not. We’re 100% vaccinated. Toddle-oo! 💜💜💜

The dog rose is beautiful. In Dutch it is called hondsroos. Hond is dog and roos is rose. It isn't always almost the same in both languages. You can use your elderberryjam now for your cold. Works really well. I like the idea of making presents for Christmas. It is a pitty (don't know if this is the right word) you cannot show us what you make, before Christmas. But after giving the presents is a good time to show what you made. Next year there is Christmas again. 😃

Your dog rose turned out beautifully. You are so skilled. The spoons are gorgeous. I must get back to making some, they are such fun to make. Your cardigan is lovely. Was it from a pattern or did you make it up yourself. I've got the wool for a colour work scarf but am a little intimidated by it. It's only two yarns but they are both variegated wools, so the end result looks complicated. Just need to pluck up the courage to start. I do a lot of sewing techniques but not much knitting. Just a few pairs of socks and some shawls. Patterns scare me a bit. I look forward to seeing what you are making next. Thanks for your inspiring videos.
@marionsworld24

I think shawls and socks can intimidate other knitters so you must be experienced already I think 😊 just jump right in...it won't be that bad 😊 My cardigan is the Blaithin pattern by Kate Davies. It's quite a few years since I knit it... a really lovely pattern 💕

Thank you Marion! I may have commented already on this one but I just had a thought! Since this video is a year old now and it’s time to be making Christmas presents for this year, perhaps you can share some of the things that you made last year without giving away what’s up for this year? By doing it a year behind we can still benefit from your wonderful ideas without having your family and friends know what they are getting ahead of time…that is if everyone is okay with it. Just a thought. 💕Donna

Have you gone into the origins of your “tangle”? I’ve seen you pull threads from it in several videos and I’m curious.
@marionsworld24
@marionsworld24 10 ай бұрын
Oh it's been growing for years 😅 I used to do embroidery from kits many years ago. In those days I used to keep the threads numbered and separated by make. Once I started to make my own embroidery designs up I wasn't interested in the numbers any more, so I wasn't bothered by winding the spare threads back on the bobbins. So I like the way it organically grew 😊 By keeping the spare bits in the tangle my bobbins stay neat and tidy. I always look first to use a thread from the pile before I get a new piece. It works well for me..🪡🧵☺️
