As a child my great grandfather hunted fox. There was a really big piece of hunters on horses and fox dogs, various pieces throughout was stuffed. After watching you, this might have been the same.😊

Marion, my condolences for Boo. I loved her name and she was just beautiful. What a lucky cat she was to have had such a loving family. On a sunnier note, your coat sewing is wonderful! Thank you for taking us along on this journey ❤

Oh, I did know about this but totally forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder. When I was in England I found a denim shirt style jacket, your definitely a bad influence on me, but for the better. I’ve not got enough hours in the day for everything I want to do with your influence . Thanks for all the inspiration. X

Oh my word Marion, that was quite unexpected 🤭. After last Wednesday I was intrigued, I had heard of trapunto but had no idea exactly how it was done. I did a brief image search which left me none the wiser and thought I would wait and see what illumination today would bring. It is not at all what I thought it would be 🤣 I will, of course, give it a try after I have finished my landscape and attempted the sashiko. I was so very sorry to hear about Boo last week, she was a beauty and I know you must miss her ❤️. We said a completely unexpected goodbye to our little Spooky a few weeks ago and our hearts are still broken. I loved that you named her Boo as that has been my nickname for many of my female cats over the past 20 years or so. I don't know why. (I have called them all some outlandish things as well 🐱💕🤣)

I can only imagine the life you gave your Boo--the kindness you shine out to us as your Subscribers is immense--I cannot imagine how it must be shone on your family, including your pets. What a great 15 years and I'm so happy we've gotten to see her many times on your videos. Cannot think of a better resting place than your stunning garden. Big hug to you, Marion!

It was amazing watching you hand sew your coat. You really are a talented and confident sewer. It’s lovely how you have kept your enthusiasm for hand sewing too. It will be a great coat when you have finished it in your style. Very sad news about Boo, it’s a loss for all of the family but I’m sure she knew she was loved. I too lost one of my cats this year. I just tell myself that he was really loved and well looked after and will always be missed. Take care

Oh bless you Marion, Boo was such a very pretty cat and you showered her with love and still do I’m sure, we all fell in love with her too, I hope Misty isn’t missing her too much, my daughter had to have one of hers put to sleep a little while ago and she brought Luna home and then took her to the crematorium where they have a pet garden. Your duster coat is gorgeous, take care you wonderful lady 💕

I so enjoy listening to you speak as you embroider. I find your voice to be so gentle and calm. I am a person who was overweight for a large portion of my life, and I would worry about how people thought I looked, and try to hide, and it went on and on for years. I don’t know about you, but I think part of stopping worrying about that is just getting older. I know that I mellowed quite a bit when I got up in my late 50s, and now in my early 60s, I’ve just about decided that I am as good looking as anybody else. If I have lines on my face I certainly earned them, and I’m certainly not ashamed of that. I have never once been the fattest person in the room, so why worry about it? It just gets easier the older I get. You were talking about color, and for years I would not wear anything very bright for this reason. I am certainly over that too. In the United States, my generation was brainwashed so severely about having to be so thin that you looked ill. It is nice to see society stepping back from that to an extent. It is hard to get rid of it, I’ll tell you. Old age is supposed to be so horrible, but I am enjoying it so far. As long as my body works well enough to get around, I think I’ll continue having a great time.

I'm always amazed by how many new things I learn in each video. I like to embroider on wool felt to make clothes for tiny wooden peg gnomes. All of these knots and stitches are vastly increasing my repertoire. Thank you! 💕

The fingertips from leather gloves make lovely thimbles for quilting and if you combine two fingertips (one inside the other from a larger and smaller finger) make very nice fitting thingies that fit just right. Thank you dearest Marion. Your needle book is a joy filled work of art.

Hi Marion. If you can get back series of The Repair Shop, Dom renovated a Singer. There was rust on the plate but he did a really great job so that the owner could use it again. Just if you want any reference is what I was thinking. =-) Take care.

❤ I just finished watching all of your advent videos. They were wonderful. You have such a sweetness about you. You’re so talented. I loved the mantel, the wreath on the front of the door, the wreath you made for your kitchen using old kitchen stuff, the cardboard ginger bread village and just all of it. Thanks for sharing your gift of creating beautiful things. God bless you in 2024.

Sorry you struggled with it. I'm not very experienced at filming myself stitching. By the time I see it on the PC in the edit I've obviously finished what I've done and don't know how to alter the lighting in the edit...if that's even possible. I also wander off camera sometimes 😏 but I think I'm getting better at it.... Thanks for watching though...☺️

Truly sorry to hear about Boo. Our pets are so precious and such a big part of our lives. 😢 I hope your creativity helps you, as I know it helps me when something like this happens. Your duster coat is coming together well and interesting to see how you use your ham to help with the seaming. The stitches really disappear into the fabric! I would never have considered sewing a garment by hand but might give it a go now.

So lovely to see you making this jacket, as I have made it. I bought mine as a download on etsy and made mine on the sewing machine. But now want to make one by hand and make one of those sewing Hams with the sawdust. Thank you for inspiring us all and so sorry about Boo. All we can do is love them whilst we have them, sending you lots of love xxx
