The flirt pole is my favorite piece of equipment. You will bond with your dog so rapidly.

I can't imagine trying to fix any aggression issues with a Dogo. They are so strong and huge.I love this kind of video. Very relaxed and natural conversation. You have the best dog training channel by far because your goal is clearly to teach us, not to hear yourself talk. There are other channels that are terrible because they are exercises in ego boosting for the trainer. You want to teach as opposed to showing off your knowledge.

I’m at my wits end with my dog. I either have to keep her leashed forever or never go anywhere with any animals ever. I tried the vibration collars, did nothing. I ordered an Apple air tag to at least track her and it is a horrible product. Now I’m waiting for a Fi collar for worst case scenario where I cannot find her after she’s taken off. I am going to try negative reinforcement eventually with a shock collar. We have mountain lions, coyotes wolves… I know it’s reckless to let her go without any restraint. Also this is about prey drive. She is absolutely wild. She will chase an animal into a burning forest and die chasing it. She’s a german shepherd x husky x pitbull mix and I feel like she was set up for disaster with the breed characteristics. I love her so much. All the other times she is so obedient and precious

That second question was my question!! Thanks for answering it. Everything you said is basically what I've been doing. If my amstaff wants to play, we normally have a good game of tug of war or we play stair fetch. P.s the Rotti x staffy has never been very playfull. Always just preferred to cuddle.

This episode came perfect as I started to get big problems with rabbit hunting drive. I am worried about that she should go after small dogs. She is 10 month and paralyzed when a rabbit shows up and if the leash is to long she runs away from me without listening. She is strong 💪🏻

Hi! I have a pit terrier with a HUGE prey drive. I really have wanted a cat for years but feel like I will have to pause until our pit crosses the rainbow bridge. I need to try and find a professional but I have always feared it would never be resolved. I think I will start trying to stimulate her in as many other ways as I can with play and social interaction, grooming ect. I had never thought about it until finding this video

You cannot train the genes out of a pitbull. Sorry. Anyone who adopts a cat when they have a pit or vice versa should go to prison for animal cruelty. I've tweeted about this and posted about it on Reddit many times. The pit may be fine for months or even years, but -- just like the pits that are turning on their owner after years of being a good doggo and sleeping next to their owner in bed -- genes kick in. It's called: hundreds of years of inbreeding, selective breeding and dogfighters jacking up all the bloodlines with anabolic steroids that don't just affect the pit injected but future generations.

I have an English setter who has a high prey drive for birds, we don't hunt, nor do we want to. Problem is, we live next to a lake with lots of birds!!! Should I be aiming to suppress her prey drive through obedience training, or redirect through chase and retrieval, flick line work? I have cats and she's good with them, so would be worried about increasing her prey drive in any way. Thanks.

My lab/amstaff mix does this with zero warning. One moment, nice loose lead walking or jogging and next, he's off. I'm having a hard time redirecting him. It's as if he has laser like focus. The flirty stick doesn't seem to work either. The only thing that seems to help , ( slightly), is turning around and going toward home. His is a play/ prey drive. Breaking his concentration is near impossible. I wish I could make us the laser focus. Lol Any other suggestions?

First thing first, unless you are going to use the dog as a hunting dog, DO NOT USE TOYS THAT LOOK LIKE ANIMALS! Do Not play with them with your hands, feet, etc. Do Not tug play until they are trained to release. Other than that have at it
