My daughter discovered your channel and loves it... She is currently training her 5 month old Springer Spaniel (working breed). We are super intrigued to know what your 'higher value' reward is??? I think a mistake (one of many) we are making is not recognizing the scale of value in the rewards we have for 'Beans'.

Oh I am so glad she is enjoying the channel! 😊 Tia’s high value reward is the chase of a tennis ball, without doubt that is her favourite thing. Ivy has more high value reward options and often it depends on the context of the situation, she like Tia enjoys a thrown tennis ball as a reward. However, I would say Ivy places food higher up on her reward hierarchy so for her chasing, searching for and then eating food tends to be a high value winner. As does me hiding food in the grass for her to sniff and search for. It really depends on the dog so I would just experiment a bit with different reward items (food/toys/the environment etc) and different delivery methods to see what will work best for Beans. I hope that helps a little 😊

Hi, thanks so much for sharing this. Don't laugh, but I am a dyslexic technophobe, and I have downloaded the ebook, but can't get any of the video's to work. Do you have to pay to watch them?

No the videos are free to watch. I got confused at first and kept clicking on the picture clip of the video but then scrolled down and clicked where is says “click here to view the video on KZbin” which then opened up the video on KZbin. Hope that helps!
