That last situation, you created a new pattern of behavior by interrupting the original pattern of behavior which was see you and pee. Sometimes dog training can really challenge you at many levels. I really think sharing our struggles is more helpful and encouraging to others than sharing the successes. Very interesting Larry.

In regards to the ivan interview, comments are locked, i found myself thinking these points. Starting an e collar as a neutral response is the same as a flat collar starts as a neutral response The dog gets used to the e collar in the same way it gets used to a flat collar The shower example has him using body temp water turning into hot water with out warning. But you would expect water to be present in a shower. Not training a dog up on the e collar is like walking into your bathroom and out of no where hot water is spraying on you I’m sure Ivan understands the concept of desensitization, but doesn’t understand that it pertains to e collars as well with low stim

Just my opinion. Sounds like that is how the dog trained the humans to get it out of the crate. Look pitiful and pee. Then human let's me out because they have to clean it and then I get attention. Very creative on how you corrected the issue. Wish I lived around you. Do you have any videos on training small/toy dogs?

Hi Larry! I have been catching up with some of your older videos and this series of videos! I really want to ask whether it is too late to correct behaviour issues with my 18mths dog? I realised that I have made many mistakes after watching your older videos, mistakes made due to advices given from other people. Is there anyway to 'undo' them? Love your videos and advices! Really appreciate your hardwork and great explanations! x

I adopted an 8 month old Mal a year ago! No education, fearfull, rather "psycho". I startet to treat him back to basics like a puppy, it worked very well, the dog seemed thankfull to finally know what a dogs life can be and how it works with humans. So I think, just start all over again the way you think and get it now! New rules, new commands, new plays...The dog will follow
