While they appear to be "tricks", this is the "working" relationship between Zola and her "handler". This "workout" keeps Zola both physically and mentally active. It take a lot of time and patience. Kudos to Zola and her owner. What a great team.

my 3 months old aussie does a couple of these already (sit, down, handshake, high five, speak and roll over, + currently working on walking leg weaves). can't wait for him to know that many, thanks for the ideas :D I'm always scared I'm going to run out of ideas pretty quick hahaha, he's learning so so fast & learning is good for them :)

Will you make a video on how you taught Zola all these tricks?

I salute you and the hard work you’ve put into your relationship and the training with your dog! My border terrier doesn’t quite have that capacity to learn, but I’ve adapted tricks and she knows a lot and loves doing them! Trick training is one of the most fun things… alongside agility!

I have a mini Aussie and she is incredibly intelligent. She loves to learn and she knows when it’s time to train. It’s like her brain kicks into a different mode.

they are very good dogs. I'm going to steal some of your tricks to teach mine, I ran out of tricks to teach him, there just super smart, but sometimes you to have some hardcore playing time every day, even if you don't feel like it.

These dogs are part human! Eager to learn, smart enough to get it after a couple of tries, and they NEED to have a job…like learning tricks, or herding something. I know, because I’ve lived with one for almost 12 years.

Amazing tricks! We're thinking of getting a miniature american shepherd as well. How easy was it to teach her all these??
@alannamclaughlin33723 жыл бұрын
It depends! Some tricks (speak, spin, pivot) she had down within 2-3 days. Others like 'walk on my feet' and 'put your toys away' took weeks to learn. I keep training sessions to about 30 minutes per day. Zola LOVES learning new tricks and I think that's common for the breed. The only thing she loves more is fetch hah!

I have an 8 week old mini Aussie that it just a laying in the house :/ I try to call him but he doesn’t respond. I have to carry him everywhere lol. How should I start training him to obey better and hopefully start a better bond with him?
@Hakz3792 жыл бұрын
Hand feed em, play with em, praise em teach em tricks, be super happy when they do it right. I remember my family watching me teach my Mini Aussie a new trick and he did it for the first time on command and everyone got so excited and he went around kissing everyone celebrating his win 😂😂. I was just talking with my mom and she was impressed by how much he knows and can do. These dogs want to work for you . They love it.
@Hakz3792 жыл бұрын
Put in the work early so u can chill later. I took 3 week “pawternity” leave to potty train and train good habits. The only thing is we had another 12 year old dog who’s been “guard dog” chihuahua for years so he’s been naturally taught to bark and defend when she does 😂

Just a quick question, my 2-month mini Aussie weighs 7 lbs already. Do you recall how much Zola weigh at 2 month?

I see you don't really answer questions, but I'm wondering how much GB weighs in this video? Trying to get a sense for our family's future mini Aussie purchase. Thanks.
