Dog vomit slime mold, Fuligo septica: Glorious goop of the woods!

In this 2-minute video, I show a specimen of the dog vomit slime mold (Fuligo septica). This common, bright-yellow and goopy organism is not a fungus at all. Like other slime molds, Fuligo septica is a part of Kingdom Protista, alongside amoebas and other protists.
