My first best friend, kindergarten-5th grade, had a wedding for her dogs and I remember being the most confused little kid about it. All the humans wore wedding clothes and walked them down the aisle in their backyard. Relatives even attended. It was 100% serious. I learned when I was older that actually due to their religion, it was required in order for them to have the male and female dogs living together in case they engage in "activities." There were pictures of the mother, aunts, grandmother and four and seven year olds in bridesmaids dresses. I'm still confused/coming to terms with it.
