Agree with everything you said. I don't know if I'm imagining it or what but I feel like this beer has varied significantly over the years. Going back a ways I always liked it, then it sucked the last few years, and then I also liked it again this year 🤷♂️

Haha, that's weird. Glad to hear we have similar experiences.

I enjoyed this ale, the two times I tried it.

Good stuff. Any other pumpkin favs? Cheers!

Have you tried schlaflys pumpkin ale this year? Its an 8% usually one of the best in this style but haven't had it in years.

I love that brew. We don't get Schlafly in FL though.

I haven't had this beer in years. However, I always felt I'd like it better as a straight brown (or amber) ale, minus the pumpkin and spices.

I believe it would be really bland without that. The base beer doesn't have much going on.

@@DarwinsBeerReviews I don't doubt you on that. I'll stick to my current policy of avoiding pumpkin beers. I've never really liked one. Same with pumpkin coffee; I think it's an abomination!

this was one of the first pumpkin beers i ever reviewed. Wasn't crazy about it in 2008 and i'm still not in 2024 lol.
