I remember the trout pond where you could catch your fish and take it up the hill to have it prepared and eat. Loved it

I do too. That area looks very different now.

Since Johnny Morris of Bass Pro Shops is restoring that old park I hope they restore the Funicular Tram ride. That was the best ride in the park.

He is turning into a nature preserve type property not an amusement or theme park. It will be a beautiful property with him developing it.

@@HaveFunLetsTravel The parking lot is at the top of the hill, people need a way to get from the parking lot down to the preserve for tours. The funicular tram is the best way.

Not sure if it is all still there or not or if it would be enough to rebuild. I was part of The Riverbend Music Show until the day the park closed in Sept 93. I miss it. It was so much fun.

My parents took me there a couple times back then, though I don't remember it much. I've heard that Johnny Morris of Bass Pro Shops has bought the property and is turning it into one of his famous nature parks. I'll be going there once it's open.

Yes, he did buy it. I played drums for The Riverbend Music Show there until the park closed in September of 1993. The property is beautiful. I can't wait to see what Johnny does to it.
